I've been here several times. First, she filled two front teeth. I informed her I have weird nerve stuff and asked to be numbed twice, she refused. I ended up getting two front teeth cavities taken out with no numbing anywhere but my nose and upper lip. So, I let her know, and she just ignored me and continued the procedure. Then, after they were filled, the fillings popped out. So, I had to get them refilled. Then, one of them got infected. She said she expected it to get infected, she just conveniently didn't tell us it could. So, I had to get a root canal. She gave me some antibiotics, and after 2 weeks I came back in. I reminded her I needed to be numbed twice, she said it wasn't needed again. So, throughout the first part of my root canal I was fine. The second part the numbing ran out, so I got to sit there with a bare gum in horrible pain. I had many more filled, and cavities are coming out again. It was very painful for weeks after every filling because she did them improperly. Her charging was wrong and she was unprofessional. She outwardly judged me for having cavities and had her assistant do all of the work. Overall, there is no reason to go to this dentist. Even if you "save" money you get to make up for it by being charged extra and coming back countless times to fix mistakes she made on her own. Improper numbing caused excessive pain and there was no professionalism. Seriously, do not waste your time here. A dentist who does it just for the money is not one who deserves yours.

Went in knowing I needed at least one crown on a cracked upper molar. Was given a quote. My insurance only paid for a limited number of X-rays and I put the remaining balance of close to $1k that they told me wasn’t covered by insurance on my credit card. I was taken back to a room, no friendly interactions with staff. All felt very rushed. Felt like cattle going through for slaughter…just “rush ‘em through, get ‘em done”. When they put in the temporary crown filling, they scheduled me for two weeks out to get the permanent one put in. The temporary one fell out in a week. I called and they said the permanent one was in and had me come in to have it installed. When I checked in I was told there was an outstanding balance still…I paid that. Today, 4 1/2 months later, I get a text from them saying I owe yet again, another $254! Mind you, I have not received a single bill in the mail, email or text from them saying I owe this and here they are threatening to send to collections. When I was sitting in the chair waiting during the procedure, I overheard conversation between the one female dentist and a staff about making sure patients were getting charged…as in a desperate “we need money” way…. I find it very odd that they claim they have snail mailed 3 statements and yet I have not received a single one. They never emailed or text me (as they did today). As far as the procedure, it was “ok” at best. I had over two months of strong sensitivity on that tooth which I don’t remember lasting that long when I’ve had them in the past from other dentists. My biggest complaint is that every time I went in, they had upped the cost of the procedure from what they originally told/charged me…..and the lack of friendliness makes me a “prior” patient….I won’t be going back there to get the other one done.

I have always felt fine going to dentists in the past with no complaints and pretty pleasant experiences across the board. That being said, I went to 406 dentistry for the first time a week ago and was shocked at the experience I received - and not in a good way. In fact, this dentist experience shocked me in the stark contrast it provided from what I have come to expect in dental care. I described it later to my family at “The McDonalds” experience of dentistry. My appointment started with being rushed back to a chair where the dental assistant rushed through every second of taking x-rays of my teeth, not bothering to even attempt personability or showing any interest in me as a patient whatsoever. Then, the Dentist came in, looked over my X-rays, made a weak introduction, and started to scrape at my teeth with a metal hook. Yet, unlike other dentists who do this scraping gently and carefully to avoid pain while still being thorough, the Dentist kept poking my gums with her metal hook as she went after my teeth, acting like this was a normal process to a thorough cleaning. Yet, I have NEVER felt pain during a teeth cleaning with any other dentist, and my teeth had ZERO issues other than needing a clean. Yet, I sat in the chair, experiencing quite a bit of pain each time she jabbed and feeling very concerned at the pressure she was putting behind scraping my teeth. The thought crossed my mind several times that she might chip a piece of one of my teeth off. Then, she left me with her assistant again. Her assistant did not slow down at this point but resumed her quick pace from earlier, barely taking any time on each of my teeth as she applied the toothpaste. She went so fast, I honestly had no clue how she could be getting anywhere near to all the surfaces of my teeth. I highly doubt she did. Yet, she was working so quickly and sloppily that she did not take time to rinse one part of my mouth before doing the next. Some of the mint toothpaste fell to the back of my throat and I was struggling not to choke on it at one point. My husband also had appointments with this place the following day and the next to address actual cavities and a cleaning. I told him about my experience but tried to give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe I caught them on a bad day. His experience was even worse. They numbed the wrong part of his face and drilled through his tooth with him being able to feel it. They tried to numb his mouth three times before they drilled, and they kept missing the correct area. Needless to say, we canceled his second appointment. I rarely ever give reviews - it either has to be fantastic service or atrociously bad. If you are considering this place, anywhere else would be better. I will never go here again.

This isn’t easy for me to share my personal experiences publicly, however. My hopes in sharing this are that I can be the courage for somebody out there who may not have a voice or simply just doesn’t know the level of mistreatment they may endure. I am sad to say, I have had a couple unfortunate experiences with 406Dentistry. I initially made an appointment due to pain on my lower gums. I had been placed in a booth i was left for about 45 minutes before being greeted and as staff crowded a window to watch and gossip about a traffic stop outside. Throughout my appointment I heard conversations loudly talked between the staff about how tired they were, ready for the day to be over, lunch, headaches a busy day. At one point one girl yelled to another “I’m gonna kill you!” The lack of professionalism was cornering. I wasn’t told they’d be with me shortly, “okay I’m gonna lean you back now.” They just chatted amongst each other like I wasn’t there and they were practicing on a dummy. During X-rays, the hygienist made multiple unsanitary moves such as touching her glove to her nose then immediately going for my mouth. I mentioned she didn’t have the mouth piece positioned right as I could taste blood and told her she was hurting me pretty severely. She responded that its going to hurt and will be over soon. I tried to brush this appointment off as maybe the hygienist was in training and maybe just a weird day for the staff. A few days later I came back in with excruciating pain in my same lower gums that had started migrating and radiating throughout my entire jaw. The Dr. examines my mouth and ends the appointment rather quickly by letting me know my gums were inflamed and prescribed me magic mouthwash to numb the area and antibiotics. I am thankful for the bandaids however after I had traveled down to Missoula today for a second opinion- I am made aware of severe bone loss in the front parts of my jaw and nearly exposed nerves. I am now awaiting an appointment with an oral surgeon to remove those two front teeth and possibly the two on either side being a total of 4 teeth, and to clean deep down into my gums into and attempt a bone graft. I realize this was a long time coming with an issue like this, but the lack of care in this establishment was disgraceful. I’m thankful for the people I had by my side to tell me that this was not proper behavior by the medical staff. 406Dentistry, I just would like to say please do better. Please listen to your patients. This was not a discussion we had had just once or even twice and etiquette was all the same every encounter with you guys. I feel I was treated very poorly by 406 and your staff. I hope you will be more careful the way you speak to and treat your patients and people can receive the help they need. I will not be returning. Thank you for your time. Amanda

I switched dentist because I did not like the dentist I had prior to coming here, I’m so glad I decided to switch to 406 dentistry! They are so patient, gentle and friendly!
