I was vacationing in Honolulu from the mainland and developed an infection in my mouth/tooth that was causing a lot of pain and swelling. I did a lot of research in the middle of the night and found this practice with rave reviews. I completed the online form on the practice website and within 15 minutes of the office opening, I was called and offered an appointment by the nicest team member, Ronni. When I arrived, I was graciously welcomed as a guest and treated like part of the family - from the beginning of the visit to the end. They all gave A+ service, exceptional compassionate dental care, answered all of my questions, and supported my anxiousness all along the way. I would highly, highly recommend the practice, Dr Wu, and the entire team to take care of your dental needs - whether on vacation/visiting or as a long-life patient! I just had a great experience with my dentist, Dr. Miyazaki at A Downtown Dental Group For my implant. The staff was very friendly and made me feel at ease. Mahalo to the whole team for taking good care of me. Highly recommend!

I chose Downtown Dental Group because of an experience I had several years ago that really stuck with me. At the time, I had a dental issue and went to multiple dentists for opinions. Three of them recommended the same treatment, but it didn’t sit right with me—it felt unnecessary. When I saw Dr. Wilford, he took the time to explain an alternative approach that was more conservative and made much more sense.
Although I wasn’t able to have the treatment done by Dr. Wilford at the time due to traveling, I ended up seeing a dentist I knew and trusted while I was away. That dentist independently recommended the exact same treatment plan Dr. Wilford had suggested, which reinforced how thoughtful and honest his assessment was.
When I returned to the island, I remembered that experience and decided to come back to Downtown Dental Group—this time with my daughter. We were treated by Dr. Wilford’s son, Dr. David, and the experience was excellent. He was kind, professional, and made both of us feel comfortable and well cared for.
The entire staff was amazing—helpful, welcoming, and genuinely kind. From start to finish, the experience felt trustworthy and positive. I’m very grateful for the level of care we received and highly recommend Downtown Dental Group to anyone looking for honest, patient-centered dental care.

I have been a happy patient of Dr. Miyasaki’s for over 10 years. He is kind, gentle, and excellent at his job. I also higly recommend hygienist Jaime for your cleanings. I have very sensitive teeth so she was extra gentle and kept my experience was pain-free.

I saw an ad in Midweek about this place offering free exams for a limited time so I called and made an appointment . I was hesitant to go because I was ashamed about the condition of my teeth! But everyone there is super nice and professional in doing their specific jobs and make you feel at ease! They don't judge you and the atmosphere in this place reflects on the personality of their fearless leader, Dr. Wilfred Miyasaki, a mild mannered gentleman with a kind soul who runs his business like a tight ship with attention to detail in every corner! They work with your insurance provider and provide other options if you don't have dental coverage.Great place to go to to get your smile back!😵💫😩😊😃😂
