We took our autistic niece to the Dalton location for a filling after being seen at the Cartersville location. We were specifically told the Dalton office would be better equipped and more accommodating for her needs due to her autism.
When they called her back, we were informed that no parent or guardian was allowed in the room. She is only 6 years old, has never had a filling before, and is understandably very uncomfortable in medical and dental settings. Her chart clearly notes that she is autistic.
While the dental hygienist was kind and helpful, she stated that the decision ultimately rested with the dentist. Given her age, medical needs, and lack of prior experience with a procedure like this, it is difficult to understand why a parent or guardian would not be allowed to be present. This was extremely disappointing, especially after being assured this location would be more accommodating.
We are extremely disappointed. This was an hour and a half drive for absolutely nothing, after being assured this location would be more accommodating for her needs. The lack of flexibility and understanding for a 6-year-old autistic child is unacceptable. Based on this experience, they deserve zero stars.

They have rescheduled my sons appointment FOUR TIMES now. This last time it was in Cartersville, not dalton, we drove from dalton to cartersville and as we GOT INTO TOWN they called and canceled it. Then told us it would be the following Monday for the new apt. We called to verify and AGAIN they tried to push it back to APRIL 13TH. Today is March 9. Do not do business with these clowns. Spend your money and time elsewhere..

Very pleasantly surprised with my son's dental checkup here today.
Based on some some of the previous reviews I saw, I was nervous to bring him here because he is autistic and had a bad experience at the last dentist we went to.
They picked up the phone as soon as I called to schedule (some reviews say they don't answer) and had open availability.
The whole staff was so personable and explained everything in great detail. They allowed me to stay with him during the cleaning and he did wonderfully. I was so proud of him! Hopefully his sedated procedure next month at the Cartersville location goes smoothly as well. 馃

Was my first and LAST time taking my daughter to this place, the whole entire staff was so uninviting and rude. Especially the blonde hygienist and the actual dentist, NEITHER of them introduced themselves so I don鈥檛 know their names. They made me feel terrible as a parent to the point I cried when I left. Would not ever recommend this place to anyone. It If I could leave less than 1 star I would. Also the toys in the lobby are so disgusting to the point I didn鈥檛 even want my child playing with them.

I took both of my sons here and they seen them at the same time which is very helpful. My oldest is autistic and they were so great with him, they didn鈥檛 push him and did things that made him comfortable. I wasn鈥檛 able to go back but they made sure to come out and update me several times which I appreciated so much. I highly recommend them the ladies in the front were very nice and the hygienist in the back are compassionate and really care about their patients and parents. I definitely will be bringing my kids back from now on.
