I had an excellent experience with this oral surgery practice. Dr. McKinney is personable, highly skilled, and clearly takes pride in his work. The entire staff is top-notch—professional, kind, and efficient—and the office is very easy to do business with from scheduling through follow-up.
What really stands out is how patient-centric this practice is. After years with another oral surgery office on Cosgrove Avenue, the difference here was noticeable: more transparency, more consideration for the patient, and significantly more affordable care without sacrificing quality.
I highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for expert care in a welcoming, well-run office.

I had an excellent experience with Dr.McKinney , Taylor and Carmen. From the moment I walked in, everyone was professional, kind, and made me feel completely at ease. The procedure was explained clearly beforehand, and any questions I had were answered with patience and care.
The surgery itself went smoothly, and I felt well taken care of the entire time. Recovery was much easier than I expected, thanks to the detailed aftercare instructions and support from the office.
I highly recommend this practice to anyone needing oral surgery—they truly go above and beyond to make the experience as comfortable and stress-free as possible.

Our overall first time experience was extraordinary. Everyone was warm and friendly. Ms. Natalia was especially knowledgeable and helpful. She made sure my son received his x-rays in order to move forward in his dental care. Ms. Taylor also kindly assisted with my son's x-ray to make him feel comfortable. Dr. Mckinney was also very honest, knowledgeable and professional. I would especially recommend this facility to special needs patients. There are very few facilities that have compassionate annointed people working. We especially thank those individuals and pray that they will receive many blessings in 2026. From, T. Kelty

the kindest staff ever! had my wisdom teeth removed today and they made me so comfortable with a blanket and everything. they are also very knowledgeable and ensure you know exactly what is going to happen before during and after the surgery. thank you allison for chatting up with me it definitely calmed my nerves!!

About Access Oral Surgery
Access Oral Surgery is an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice located at 907 North Main Street in Summerville, South Carolina, serving patients throughout the greater Charleston area. The practice focuses on tooth replacement with dental implants, offering single tooth implants, implant-supported bridges for several missing teeth in a row, and implant-retained dentures for patients missing many teeth. Supporting procedures such as bone grafting, sinus lift surgery, and platelet rich fibrin therapy are available on site to help prepare the jaw for implants, and the office uses three-dimensional CT imaging to plan treatment.
Beyond implants, the practice provides tooth extractions, wisdom teeth removal, biopsies, oral pathology care, treatment of impacted canine teeth, pre-prosthetic surgery, facial trauma care, and anesthesia services. Procedures can be performed with the added comfort of intravenous sedation in a relaxed, patient-friendly environment. Meet the Doctors
Care at Access Oral Surgery is led by Dr. Adam McKinney, Doctor of Dental Medicine. Dr. McKinney is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. He completed dental school at the Medical University of South Carolina and his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Naval Medical Center San Diego while serving in the United States Navy. His specialty interests include dental implants, bone grafting, wisdom teeth extractions, corrective jaw surgery, and trauma surgery.
