Due to being newly insured at my employment, I did not have my dental insurance cards. An appointment was made with API for approx a week out and while I attempted to obtain my insurance cards and submit them by the deadline, I was not able to. I submitted my insurance cards, that I ultimately obtained through the insurance BROKER, on Friday at about 2:30pm. Unfortunately, API leaves early on Friday. So tell me why on Monday morning on the way to my 8:30am appointment, API REFUSED to run my insurance and wanted me to willy nilly $302 out of pocket when they had my insurance and I had my insurance?! Is it lazy employees, or some sort of unknown hitch in the insurance giddyup? Then when I said I am not paying that they said I would owe a cancelation fee! Ma'am, why are you so hostile and not willing to run my insurance? I wonder if the doctor is aware of your demeanor and lazy work ethic?

I came to the practice having had previously had a failed gum graft at a different practice. Overall, I have good dental health, just very thin tissue and lots of recession. Both Dr Bea and Dr Clark came highly recommended to me. After my consultation, Dr Bea recommended that we try a free gingival graft. She explained everything, the pros and cons and I felt very confident trusting her judgment. She had a super gentle touch, explained everything as she did it,checked in with me frequently throughout the procedure and she and staff ended up staying a little later after closing time due to a mild complication (they accommodated my work schedule and allowed me to be the last patient of the day). Dr Bea was great at educating me about what to expect in the future moving forward and gave me an accurate timeline for healing. She was responsive to my follow-up questions and I always felt like I was in great hands. My graft is doing great so far, and I couldn't be happier with my results.

Dr. B and her staff are amazing! Both my husband and I were in need of implants and she did the surgical work for both of us and we couldn’t be happier. My implant was a front lower tooth which had been missing for decades and I was told it would be impossible to put an implant there. Dr. B was willing to give it a try. It didn’t go as smoothly as we all hoped because the bone for the implant needed to be built back up. Dr. B didn’t give up and today was at the dentist’s office to help with making the setting of the implant and polishing the gums. I’m more than satisfied and so grateful for her professionalism, expertise and going to extra mile to make sure I was happy with the results. Thank you so much! ~ Shari

Let me start by saying I genuinely give this place 5 stars overall, but my first visit was a rough experience.
I was referred here by my primary dentist for a gum evaluation. Before the appointment, I completed all the pre-registration paperwork they emailed me. I was also told I’d receive a reminder notice, but that never came. I checked my email anyway and confirmed the appointment date and time.
So I show up for my first visit at 11:30 AM, check in with the receptionist, and she immediately says — quite rudely — “Your appointment has been canceled. We’ve texted you multiple times and you didn’t respond.” I showed her that I never received any texts. Turns out, they had entered my phone number incorrectly — they were off by one digit. She shrugged and said, “They gave me the wrong number.” On top of that, my date of birth was incorrect, so they couldn’t verify my insurance.
She told me I’d have to reschedule. I explained that I took time off work and drove over 20 miles to be there. I asked if there was any way I could still be seen. She was visibly annoyed, but said she’d “see if they can fit you in,” and warned that I’d have to pay out of pocket since they couldn’t confirm insurance. I agreed to pay, hoping I’d be reimbursed later.
Once I was actually seen, everything changed. The dental staff was great — professional, kind, and efficient. It turned into a really positive experience.
But the real hero was the second receptionist I spoke to afterward. She was amazing — calm, professional, and apologetic. She double-checked everything, properly verified my insurance, and made sure it was all taken care of. Her professionalism made a world of difference and completely turned my opinion around.
If it weren’t for her, I probably wouldn’t have come back. But because of her, I will — I just hope I never have to deal with the first receptionist again. Her attitude, lack of professionalism, and refusal to own the office’s mistakes left a really bad first impression.
So while my visit started off at a 2-star level, the rest of the team brought it back to a solid 5. Props to the staff and the receptionist who did things right!
