The front desk girl was so nice and welcoming! She had really good customer service, was super helpful, and made the whole experience feel comfortable and easy. You can tell she actually cares about the patients and keeps a positive attitude. Definitely one of the best parts of coming here!

Affordable Smiles is the best dentist office hands down! I had a great experience with them. Starting with my dental assistant, (I don’t remember her name. Please forgive me). She was the best dental assistant. She corresponded with me, and if I had any questions she knew how to answer them. Dr. Baecher was very thorough with the exam, and he made sure that I understood what he wanted to do. He just didn’t try to sell me on work that did not need to be done. There are two Katelynn’s there, but the Katelynn that I would like to mention is the young lady that is by the exit door. She was a ray of sunshine. She was very pleasant and very friendly. My day didn’t start off to well, but she made sure that before I left the office, I was very happy. The office manager, Yoselin was very nice as well. If you are looking for a very pleasant dental office, Affordable Dental in Metairie on Veterans is the best place to visit!

Had to find a new dentist because my current one quit taking insurance. From first contact through exit interview, the staff was GREAT. Very professional and pleasant. Had a evaluation, cleaning, filling replacement, and fitting for Night Guard. Started on time, every consideration for comfort (the shot was PAINLESS), and explaining billing at the end went excellent. I am very happy with everyone here. A special call out to Partice, Darlene, Maria, Dr Kirkpatrick and the front office staff. Thanks.

I wish I could click 5 stars like so many people, but unfortunately all of my appointments since last April have left me still thinking about them in a way I wish I weren't. 3 dentists, 3 unfortunately awful experiences.
1st dentist gas lit me so hard when I said my teeth changed after pregnancy. According to him it's impossible, but according the countless mothers I've spoken to, it's not so crazy. From appointment 1 I was VERY transparent & vulnerable about childhood traumas I experienced at the dentist + how it affects me now, and I saw my chart recently - every comment reduced my experience to something along the lines that I'm "scared of the sounds".. which is just a small (pretty inaccurate) part of what I explained. & likely also makes sense as to why I was rarely met with sensitivity when I was crying the whole appointment or said I was "ok" instead of good after each appointment.
I had a filling done by another dentist last May (which surprised me cause I wasn't have ANY problems with that tooth)..well thats where problems with the tooth started. I ended up coming back several times for an adjustment before long term travels. Continued having problems & came back after travels to have the filling re-done..
cue 3rd doctor who so violently shook my cheek & jaw while he injected me that I literally started having neck and jaw pains in the chair after that which hasn't gone away several days later. He stopped after starting the procedure to do a scan and found that I have an infection and bone loss. Cool, except for the fact that it clearly wasn't a new problem because he said it was "worse" than when I was there before. When I asked why I wasn't informed about my condition, he got defensive and left the room and sent someone to check me out. I had to actually go back and ask for antibiotic prescription AND ask him if it was okay to leave with a partially undone filling. His response "yeah, it would be better to fill it" which i was brought back in again to do. Again, he left the room and when I went to the counter, I was talked to quite nastily by someone asking what I was doing! I've had relatively cordial experiences with supporting staff, but many of them have a way of talking to you like you're stupid, but kind of politely and sometimes with a smile.
Again, after reading my chart I see that since last April they said I have moderate bone loss which totally seems like something I should have been told or talked with about. After moderate is severe, I imagine, so its weird that they'd just wait and let it get worse and have to literally see pus coming out to check for an infection, even though all my symptoms matched the description. Needless to say these were very traumatic experiences for me and have compounded my previous trauma that was reduced to a silly sound insensitivty and rarely addressed.
I will say that the hygienist was the most attentive to that fact and did the old school type of cleaning to avoid the noises of the machine and offered me a stress tooth to squeeze, so thank you for that!

Staff was really nice. Dr. Beecher gave me good information. Definitely going back. Miss. Carolina was very attentive and made me feel comfortable while getting my X-Rays done.
