Worst dentist and office I have ever been to. Office cancelled twice due to office error while making the appointments but still charged my insurance on record. Last cancellation was a voicemail at 5:00 pm when my appointment was at 8am the following day. The filling I had done fell out. Plus the dentist can be rude

I recently had a filling fixed and the next day my mouth was swollen and terribly painful. I called, talked to nurse who said I could go to the ER or make an appointment at the clinic. I wanted to talk to the dentist. They said I wasn't an established patient and needed to make an initial appointment. I've been going there for YEARS!!! They never called me back or seemed to care. I fixed myself with salt water and ibuprofen. Horrible service.

This place went back to being the worst dentist in Alamosa, again. They can't keep a decent dentist or hygienist on staff for very long, and most of the reception staff is borderline incompetent. If there's another dentist in Alamosa that accepts Medicaid, please tell me.

So I have really been trying to be optimistic about this establishment. After almost 2 years of waiting, I get a treatment plan and start working. Being told i have a cavity that needs attention and some other things. As of yesterday the problems I am having have progressed even worse, (drs own words). Then today I was told that I can come in at 9:45am (8:50 current time), they had a cancelation. Not to mention that there was no word of not being able to get in til Feb. I cannot make this as I can't call off work. Had they mentioned we won't be able to see you til February probably would have made things different.
Now I have to wait 2 more months til Feb. (Almost 30 days after the original appointment), to get this cavity fixed. This is after they moved me closer to the 21st of Dec. canceling the original appointment for Jan. 21. Seems they wait as long as they can so that when it's time to actually work, its worse than the original issues. This is the worst experience I have ever had in health care. What a joke.

Dr. Woo basically wasted my time. I went in and told her I couldn't eat or sleep because the pain was so bad. She looked briefly and said my wisdom teeth were pushing on the nerves and side of my mouth and that is was all very swollen and I'd need all four of my wisdom teeth pulled. I told her Tylenol wasn't helping with the pain anymore. Yet all she did is say I'd have to wait about a month to get then pulled and sent me on my way. Did nothing at all for the pain or gave me any indication when I could get help

Alamosa Dental Clinic is operated by Valley-Wide Health Systems, Inc., a non-profit community health organization serving Southern Colorado. The clinic provides general family dental services to patients of all ages, including cleanings, routine exams, x-rays, fillings, extractions, sealants, root canals, crowns, dentures, and partials, along with specialty referrals when needed.
As part of a larger community health system, the clinic emphasizes accessible, respectful care and accepts most private insurance, Medicaid, Medicare, the Colorado Indigent Care Program, and Colorado Child Health Plan Plus, with a sliding fee program available for patients without insurance. Patients considering treatment such as dentures or partials can speak with the clinic directly about specialty referral options for more advanced needs like dental implants, since the clinic's own website describes general family dental services rather than implant-specific treatment.
