We are so grateful for the wonderful care Dr Dashow and his team provided for our oldest a couple years ago, when they removed his wisdom teeth. We knew our youngest would be in good hands too. Our youngest is doing great after his procedure 4 days ago. So thankful for Dr. Dashow and thank you so much for doing an excellent job! Highly recommended!!! Amanda and Mike (Parents)

Made appointment for my granddaughter. Got a call to change date. Couldn't. Morning of wisdom teeth extraction, appointment cancelled. Rescheduled. Morning of new appointment, time changed to ASAP. Felt rushed out of recovery. Explanation of what to expect was complicated and overwhelming. Nothing written down from doc. Anesthesiologists gave instructions. Never a follow up call to see if everything is ok. Granddaughter is having issues. Three phone to office, and I'm still waiting for a response. Not good!

Total incompetence. They couldn’t even figure out which of my TWO insurances pays first and then tried to overcharge me a $550 deductible when mine is $283 for the entire year. When I pushed back, they straight-up lied and claimed they never accepted my insurance despite my insurance confirming they were in-network in 2025 and only dropped in 2026. Insurance was verified before my appointment, yet they somehow “forgot” to mention that little detail. On top of that, the form they shove in front of you clearly says the estimate is due on the day of surgery except I wasn’t there for surgery, I was there for a consultation. Yet they still demanded the full $550 that day. Now I’ve wasted 4 months, have to start over with a new referral, and they expect patients to float hundreds of dollars while they “maybe refund it in 90 days.” Rude, dismissive, gaslighting, and wildly unprofessional. Avoid unless you enjoy being overbilled and talked down to.

Was undecided to even write this review but it's the right thing to do; Go anywhere else! At AAOCS, they treat you like you are more important to them for their cash flow instead of as a human. There was inconsistent, vague or no communication and they are quick to be rude. If you are confused as a result, it’s on you! This refers to everyone at their front desk and Dashow, who disregarded our concerns about misinformation and lost his professional composure toward us in the waiting room. Not sure how the procedure itself went, he didn't bother showing up after to update on anything. Called the office and had to settle for copies of the medical notes instead of talking to someone about what was done and forget about aftercare or asking questions about what to expect during healing. Went to other medical professionals to get aftercare and frankly, was relieved not to go back to that office. Their office space or patient rooms are not private; you can hear conversations from treatment rooms and patients moaning from pain while you sit in the waiting area. One visit while I was waiting to be seen, a parent told the front desk they had to leave because it was hard for them to hear their kid in pain. When I set up my original appointment, they were in network with my health insurance. By the time I got to my first appointment, they were no longer in network but didn't bother to tell me until I checked in, then they were all about getting paid. I should have taken that as a sign of how they treat people and run their office; BADLY!

Dr Dashow is amazing. Extremely knowledgeable and competent. And he’s nice on top of his professionalism. He and his staff are top notch!

All Alaska Oral & Craniofacial Surgery is an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice located on Lake Otis Parkway in Anchorage, serving patients throughout Alaska. The practice offers dental implant placement as part of a broader scope of surgical care that also includes wisdom tooth extraction, bone grafting, jaw correction surgery, and treatment of jaw joint (TMJ) problems. For patients missing some or all of their teeth, the team provides full arch tooth replacement options, including implant supported solutions sometimes referred to as All-on-4, which use a small number of implants to support a complete set of replacement teeth.

The practice is led by Dr. Jason E. Dashow, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon who received his dental degree from the University of Washington and completed his medical degree and surgical residency at the University of Michigan, along with additional fellowship training in cleft and craniofacial surgery in Shreveport, Louisiana. He is described on the practice's website as the only pediatric fellowship trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon in Alaska, and he treats both children and adults, from routine tooth extractions and implant placement to complex jaw and facial reconstruction. Patients traveling from other parts of Alaska for surgery or implant treatment can find lodging guidance on the practice's website, reflecting its role as a regional referral center for oral and facial surgical care.
