Dr. Lawhon's office may be the worst dental office in the Pee Dee. The doctor may be experienced, but his office practices are horrible and unethical! I was not a patient, but escorted my friend to oral surgery. My friend had to wait more than an 90 minutes for surgery and had already taken the prescribed pain tablet 30 minutes prior to the appointment time. It was obvious that the office was overbooked. Unfortunately, my friend was in severe pain immediately after leaving the surgery room. I had to rush to get the meds filled from pharmacy.
Moreover, my friend had to pay upfront for the services, which was very pricey. The office staff stated that the paperwork would be sent to the insurance company for reimbursement. My friend checked and checked. After speaking with the insurance company, the dental office failed to send in much needed paperwork after more than a month of surgery. They are quick to get your money, but don't seem to care about you getting reimbursed.
They need a complete makeover of their office practices! I would not recommend!

Dr. Lawhon and his staff were very welcoming and helpful. The Dr. Completely understood my concerns and made sure that I was comfortable during extraction of two impacted wisdom teeth. Very happy with the service provided.

I received outstanding service at Dr. Lawhon's office. He is very knowledgeable and has very good bedside manner. The entire staff is very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Dr, Lawhon's office.

Save your time and just read the rest of the reviews. My dentist told me not to go to Dr Lawhons office and I should have listened. - They give you the option to opt out of paying $122 for gauze but when you tell them you can get it for $10 from Walmart and you’ll agree to be responsible, they remove your MEDICATED child from the table and refuse service.

I am very Thankful for Dr Lawhon & his wonderful staff they made me feel very comfortable through my whole procedure (impacted wisdom teeth extraction) every one at Florence oral & maxillofacial has been wonderful & kind & I Thank you so much the whole staff here is doing a wonderful job.
