From the moment you walk in you feel welcomed. The girls in the back are amazing. Super nice. The lady that is the dental hygienist ( I think her name is Katie) is the sweetest lady. So makes you feel very comfortable. The assistants are also very nice. Even in the most uncomfortable and sometimes painful setting, they make you feel at ease. The main dentist Dr. Brian Deaton is by far the best dentist I have ever been to. He makes sure that you know the plan and what he is going to do. He has been the only dentist that doesn't hurt and the outcome is fantastic. He fixed my teeth more than I could ever thought that they could be. I feel more comfortable with my smile. He is truly in the right profession. I can't say enough good things about him. I get extreme anxiety with the dentist offices because I have had so many painful experiences but I would recommend him to anyone. I will not be going anywhere else.

Just wanted to write a review about my first visit with Aspen Dental in Ashland, KY. The visit was 2 days ago, 4/13/2026 and I noticed the person who gave me my paperwork to fill out as a new patient was very nice and accommodating. I thought two of my questions were silly but she did not act that way at all. Actually, everyone who works there totally went out of their way to make me feel comfortable [they knew it was the first time I had been to a dentist office in several years]. Everyone made my visit seem special. But the one I really want to praise at this point (I will be leaving more reviews for my upcoming visits) is Paige. She did my "new patient X-rays". She wanted to be sure I knew exactly what was happening during the whole process. She wanted to make sure I did not get tired of standing in one position for too long and that my neck did not get tired of of holding my head in a awkward position too long. She even came back to be sure I was still comfortable while waiting for the dentist.
So yes, I do recommend Aspen Dental so far. I will be leaving more reviews as my visits progress. But, I do think I am going to be super happy. I left with a smile even though I don't have new dentures yet. {Lol} ......... Dennis

Don’t recommend going to this place my husband had a bunch of work done a few years ago and ended up needing to get a partial. He paid for his temporary partial and permanent at the time of service plus a weekly payment, he went today to get the temporary fixed due to it breaking for the second time since having it. He mentioned that he would like to just go ahead and get his permanent partial, they then proceeded to tell him that he didn’t pay for a permanent partial that the money we put out was used towards other things and that it wasn’t on their paperwork stating he paid for one which the paperwork we have says other wise. Told him he had to get more work done in order for him to be able to have a permanent partial. Thousands of dollars later and nothing to show for it, this place is all about money and they will 100% rip you off.

My husband and I were seeking a comprehensive dental solution, and Aspen in Ashland, KY, exceeded our expectations. Our initial visit was exceptionally pleasant, with every staff member we interacted with being extremely helpful and responsive to our numerous inquiries. McKenzie, Kathi, and Dr. Deaton provided outstanding explanations of the necessary procedures, alleviated our concerns, and accommodated our scheduling needs for the next steps. Furthermore, the cost was remarkably affordable. We are now enthusiastic about commencing the process of my husband's tooth extraction and acquiring new dentures.

I had an amazing visit to Aspen Dental in Ashland. I went in hurting and frustrated and between the front office staff, Dr. Deaton, and Kathie, I came out feeling more positive and happier than I have in a long time. The office staff were very friendly and helpful and Dr. Deaton answered questions and helped us come up with a plan for the future.
Dr. Deaton also gave us a way to help with my sensitive gag reflex and gave me an antibiotic to help with the pain and infection I have been experiencing.
I would recommend this office to all my family and friends.

The office serves patients from Ashland, Catlettsburg, Meads, Cannonsburg, Westwood, and surrounding Boyd County communities. The practice describes itself as a place where care ranges from cleanings and checkups to dentures, dental implants, and emergency dental visits, all under one roof. The Ashland office lists dental implants, implant dentures, full and partial dentures, dental bridges, crowns, fillings, root canals, tooth extractions, wisdom tooth removal, cosmetic dentistry including teeth whitening, and Motto clear aligners among its services, and notes that not every Aspen Dental office offers every service, so patients should confirm with the local team.
For patients considering dental implants, the practice says a first visit includes a review of dental and medical history, X-rays or imaging if needed, a full exam, and a conversation about treatment options with a written cost estimate before any work begins. The office accepts most major dental insurance plans, does not accept Medicaid, and works with third-party lenders to offer financing and payment plans. Same-day appointments and walk-in visits are available when there is open availability. The office is open Tuesday through Friday, with Tuesday evening hours until 6:00 pm and shorter Friday hours, and is closed Saturday through Monday.
