Staff is amazing at all points of contact! Upon walking in and being greeted with a smiling cheery hello to everyone I passed going to pray, exam room, extraction room, and checkout, everyone is so nice and friendly! During procedures I was kept updated and informed which I loved! I was warned if there was going to be pressure and the amount of empathy and compassion about if I was in pain or not so they could help me be more comfortable was exceptional!

I can only speak about my personal experience with Aspen Dental Crossville. I have had a great experience with each person that I encountered there. The office staff has been amazing with me. They always greet me with a smile and make me feel like they are truly glad to see me! The dentists were very understanding about my fear of dentists and were very gentle. I am very happy with the services I received there.

I went to Aspen Dental because it was in network on my insurance. I knew they were a “corporate” entity but I figured I’d give them try since my insurance would cover the exam and a cleaning. I wish I could rate staff (5 stars) separate from overall experience (1 star) but I can’t so…first the good: scheduling was very easy and everyone was very kind and friendly. The assistant that did my X-rays was great! Then I met the technician who was also nice and very gentle doing her exam, but that’s where things went a little sideways. She poked and prodded, looked at my X-rays and said “you’ve got bone loss and gum disease, if you want to keep your teeth you’ll need some major work”. Almost from the start, it just didn’t come across as genuine, more like an up-sell at the mechanic’s. Price that was eventually quoted was over $4000, of which insurance would cover…well…basically nothing. I didn’t commit. I never did get the cleaning that would have been covered by my plan.
After some thought, I made a self-pay appointment at the little dental office in my town to get their opinion. Exam and X-rays raised no big red flags. To me, the X-rays looked clearer than the Aspen X-rays and I didn’t see the “bone loss” that was pointed out to me at Aspen. I got my teeth cleaned and another appointment in 6 months, $200 all in. No mention of the”bone loss, gum disease or major work” that Aspen said I needed. So, if you go there and they say you need expensive work done, definitely consider a second opinion. I’ll stick with my local dentist and their “uninsured patient program” from now on!

My husband had broken his tooth on Sunday and he was in a lot of pain so on Monday morning I called Aspen Dental to schedule an appointment in Crossville, TN. They were able to get him in by 10:30 that morning and De Song had the tooth removed before noon. The bill was very reasonable and the staff was so nice and helpful.

Office staff didn't contact insurance company even after details had been provided verbally and on-line in advance causing payment to come out of my pocket. They were more focused on making multiple appointments with payments upfront to reserve said schedule. Would not even provide a basic cleaning. " against their policy" No thanks!! Not going to pay for services in advance.
