Aspen Dental – Gardendale, AL
Dr. Allie Haight and her team took incredible care of me! My regular dentist is closed on Fridays, but I had an emergency and was able to book an appointment online with ease. They got me in first thing that morning.
The front desk receptionist was patient and helpful, even while training a new team member. The dental assistant who greeted me was a true blessing—detailed, knowledgeable, and made me feel completely comfortable. Dr. Haight was amazing; she shared a personal story about a similar dental situation she’d experienced, which helped me understand what to look out for in the future. During the procedure, she and her assistant worked with such precision and care. I am so grateful to the entire Gardendale team!

The staff very professional and made me feel comfortable. They assured me everything was gonna be ok as it was. I was very nervous before the procedure but after communicating and laughing with the assistant, I forgot why I was there. Now, let's get into the Dr (Dr. MAY), when I say PERFECTIONIST, yes.

Poor communication and lack of proactivity.
I called after scheduling my appt online to not only verify if I’d scheduled myself correctly but to also confirm they could see me for a cleaning because of the way it’s listed online. They said they could. 1-2 days later I get a phone call asking me if I could come in early on my appt day due to closing early for the upcoming holiday. (Appt was on a Friday. The coming holiday was Memorial Day, on a Monday) I get to my appt and they do X-rays, then sit me in a room to “get my cleaning” to then be told to go wait in another room. I’m then called to the payment desk, and asked what day would I like to reschedule my cleaning for? I’m confused, because that’s what I’m here for. She stated, “I know but we’re short staffed today and our hygienist is very backed up and has been since we opened the door this morning so she won’t be able to get to you today.” That could have been communicated not only at check in, but you could have called me when yall opened to not waste my gas time and money driving all the way out to Gardendale to not receive service. Communication is free. It costs nothing to communicate. 1/10, don’t recommend.

If you want to be talking in to treatments that you don’t need this is the place to go. They attempt to wow you with technology but they are doing is trying to up sell their services. I have been going to the dentist all my life and have been to them twice and each time they did the same thing. They tried to convince me I needed more than just a basic cleaning. Don’t be fooled by the technology. Don’t let them talk you into services you do t need.
