I am extremely disappointed with the level of customer service I received from this dental clinic.
About 2½ weeks ago, I called because I needed to discuss changes to my treatment plan and requested a call back from the dentist. The receptionist, Pam, was sarcastic and dismissive during the conversation. She told me the dentist would call me back.
Weeks passed, and I never received a call. When I contacted the office again to follow up, I was told, “We got your messages. The dentist will call when she’s not busy.” Once again, no one called.
As a patient, I believe communication is essential, especially when discussing treatment options and dental care decisions. Being ignored for over two weeks despite multiple requests for a return call made me feel that my concerns were not important.
Because of the lack of follow-up, poor communication, and unprofessional customer service, I have decided to cancel my appointment and seek care elsewhere. Patients deserve to have their questions answered and their concerns addressed in a timely manner.
Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic.

Aspen dental gave a a great experience. They really listened to me express my needs. Dr. Blanc and all of the staff were skilled and friendly. They gave me advice on a way to save money. That is a rare treat from any doctor! I have found my Hickory dentist!

I always have a good experience when I come in for my appointments. The staff is friendly and the visits themselves have gone smoothly every time.
The only ongoing issue I’ve had is with follow-up communication regarding scheduling dental work. I had an extraction and bone graft in November and was told I would receive a call around April to schedule an implant, but I never received that call. I also need to schedule a root canal that I was told I would be contacted about, and I haven’t heard anything yet. I mentioned both of these concerns again during my routine cleaning on June 3, and I was reassured that I would get a call, but as of June 11, I still haven’t been contacted.
I really do appreciate the care I receive during visits, I just wish the follow-through on scheduling was more consistent.

5 stars! I had an amazing visit at Aspen Dental in Hickory recently. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and made me feel completely at ease. The office is clean, modern, and well-organized. My dentist did a fantastic job—everything was explained clearly, the procedure was handled with care and precision, and the results exceeded my expectations. They truly went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and happy with my treatment. If you’re looking for quality dental care with a great team, I highly recommend this location.

Since moving to Hickory approximately a year ago I haven't had the chance to see my original dentist and I'm peculiar about who works on my teeth, even when my cleaning is overdue. I scheduled an appointment and they were quick to get me in the door (other offices has nearly 3+ month wait times). The cleaning went excellent and my hygienist Cat did a phenomenal job. I'll definitely be back for future care/treatments.
