My Experience with Aspen Dental: A Comprehensive Review ​If you are looking for a dental provider that balances modern technology with a highly structured, patient-focused process, Aspen Dental is a strong contender. My recent visit was defined by a team that made a typically stressful chore feel incredibly manageable. ​1. First Impressions & Imaging ​The check-in process was streamlined, but the real highlight began when I was called back. Marissa handled my initial imaging and X-rays with impressive efficiency. She was professional and made sure I was comfortable with the digital sensors, which can sometimes be awkward. Seeing the high-definition 3D scans of my own teeth on the large monitor in real-time was a game-changer for understanding my oral health. ​2. The Consultation with Dr. Young ​Dr. Young took the time to walk me through those scans quadrant by quadrant. Instead of rushing to the next patient, Dr. Young focused on education—explaining exactly what was happening in the images and prioritizing what needed immediate attention versus what we could simply monitor. It felt like a collaborative health plan rather than just a sales pitch. ​3. Planning & Transparency with Kasey ​After the exam, I sat down with Kasey to go over the logistics. This is where Aspen Dental really shines. Kasey provided a clear, printed breakdown of: ​Recommended procedures and their priority levels. ​A transparent look at insurance coverage. ​Precise out-of-pocket estimates. ​Having Kasey explain the financing options and the "why" behind the costs made the financial side of things feel much less intimidating. ​Final Verdict ​Pros: ​The Team: Dr. Young, Kasey, and Marissa worked like a well-oiled machine, ensuring I never felt "lost" in the process. ​Technology: Using 3D imaging helps you actually see the issues Dr. Young is describing. ​No Surprises: Kasey ensures you know exactly what you’ll owe before any work begins.

Aspen Lima canceled my mother's CONFIRMED appointment. EMMA called on SATURDAY morning instructing my mother to call back by 3pm, and press 2 to follow prompts to confirm her MONDAY 1/19 appointment. I have home security video of my mother calling back that same SATURDAY morning, following the Aspen automated confirmation prompts, and SUCCESSFULLY CONFIRMING audio from the automated system CONFIRMING her appointment. My mother followed Emma's instructions perfectly and within a half hour of receiving Emma's call, and yet the LIMA OFFICE DID NOT HONOR THE CONFIRMATION. On MONDAY my mother arrived on time for her appointment and was turned away by the LIMA office, who refused to find a way to fit her in for her CONFIRMED appointment. She was made to feel foolish, accused of not calling to confirm. She's 89. She did exactly as instructed. She deserves an apology from the LIMA office staff who perhaps neglected to check their own system for automated confirmations. IF LIMA EXPECTED A SAME DAY LIVE PHONE CONFIRMATION then they need to provide a direct line to the office staff, NOT force every callback through the apparently useless automated confirmation system. FIX YOUR SYSTEM OR TRAIN YOUR STAFF; this is not the only one-star complaint for this exact issue. Thankyou for considering this feedback seriously.

I would highly recommend Aspen Dental, Lima Ohio to anyone who may have dental anxiety. From the first phone call to set up my consultation, I was greeted with a friendly and understanding tone. My first appointment was the consultation and x-rays. I shared that I was extremely nervous, and I felt like they took that into account and went out of their way to make me feel comfortable. Dr. Yang did an amazing job explaining everything to me and allowed me to ask as many questions as I needed. The next step was setting up the care to which I did that with Kasey. Kasey again met me with understanding and help walk me through next steps. I signed up to have extensive work done, over $5,200. Over the next few weeks, I had several appointments, including cleanings, fillings and some extractions. Each time I came into the office I had a new employee, but it did not matter because each of them have been extremely kind patient and understanding. I cannot say enough, how much they put my mind at ease. The only slightly negative I would share is that the extraction appointment I was not able to do because of anxiety so Dr. Yang being as understanding as she is gave me another option to come back with the medication to help me get through the appointment. While setting up this next appointment, it did not fall in the same month as my other appointments and I felt a little pushed to get it all done in the same month. When I was unable to make that work in the same month, I did feel as I let someone down, but I just couldn’t make the appointment work in the month of January. I’m not sure if this is a commission issue or not but unfortunately my schedule wouldnt allow it. All in all, I cannot say enough good things about this office. I will be recommending them to all of my friends and colleges. Thank you, Dr. Yang and your staff!!

I had my first initial visit today. In that time, I felt like the team was nice, patient, and worked in a timely manner. The Dr was very nice and explained everything from what she saw on my exam to what treatment plan she recommended. The office manager was very nice and explained my options and laid out an appointment schedule. I didn’t feel pressured in any way to make a decision right then and there. Overall, I liked the ease of making an appointment, the exam process, and the finalizing.
