I was a patient in January and the service was good. I was happy with the results. However, after we paid the agreed price in full, one month later, it transpired that we still owed $159. I do not recommend this dental practice because the amount they predict the insurance will pay is artificially high. The things the insurance company did not cover should not have been a surprise for Aspen Dental. The lasting impression is that they are purposefully quoting a lower price than what patients ultimately have to pay.

I never write reviews but I truly feel like other people should be warned about this place based on my experience at the WDM location today. I got an appointment same day- which was nice! I am having serious pain and swelling in a small area in my gums.
It took about 30-40 mins for x rays. It was very uncomfortable and caused a lot of pain and swelling but the two people that did the x rays were nice throughout.
They take me to another room where a different dental hygienist “ checks my gum health” by scraping a tool individually under the gums on each tooth, front and back. This was horribly painful because I was there for a gum swelling and pain issue. My mouth is now horribly inflamed, painful, and bleeding. They don’t rinse my mouth- they just start asking me questions as I’m bleeding into my mouth/hand. I ask for a napkin and they hand me a little plastic cup to spit my blood into as the dental hygienist tells me that my gums “just aren’t good at all” and how I have A LOT (while making faces) of buildup. She’s literally looking at my X-rays acting grossed out.
I explained to her that I know I have dental issues in those teeth based on treatment that I had started two years prior before I develop trigeminal neuralgia. I know I have to continue with the deep cleanings, but we are trying to figure out a way to not cause a flareup while I maintain my teeth. Dental procedures are scary for people with TN because it can cause nerve issues which can lead to a new flareup.
I then told her that I do plan on doing the deep cleanings. I just want consult with my regular doctor first. She just keeps repeating that I have no choice. I told her I understand- it just causes some anxiety because the disorder I can develop is extremely painful. She replies by looking at the X-ray tech while holding back laughter telling me “it’s all going to be ok”. It was so degrading and dismissive. Then the doctor comes in and casually throws around some diagnosis on my X-rays and tells me it’s the “lots of buildup” causing the swelling. I then reiterate again that I have had the ongoing issue with those teeth for two years, but the swelling happened yesterday out of nowhere and is getting progressively worse today. He then tells me “ maybe it is an infection… I’ll send in some medication to the pharmacy.” Ok fine. Just remember I’m spitting blood into a cup this whole time.
I then get taken into an office where they had me a print out quoting me over $6,200 for multiple procedures I need done.
The experience was just awkward, painful, and degrading. I felt like I was chatting with people casually while they made fun of my dental hygiene- it did not feel like a professional or, at the very least, kind place.
I will not return and I do not recommend.

The dentist was AMAZING! So nice and listened. The girl taking x- rays was great. Explained everything she was doing. The male dental hygienist was not the kindest. He was efficient and did his job, but I explained I don't like dental offices and actually have somewhat of a phobia. He did not acknowledge that i had said anything. He was NOT gentle, he hurt ten times worse than the dentist extracting a molar. The office manager was nice and explained everything, listened and answered all questions. Cut out the hygienist and definitely would have been 5 stars

I came in today to do a check up, the team was very nice and professional. I haven’t been to the dentist in a long time so I was a bit nervous to come in and feel judged and they did just the opposite. I would recommend Aspen Dental to anyone!

Had already written a review but for some reason it disappeared. Wonder why that is. My experience at Aspen Dental could not have been worse. I had scheduled an appointment for a cleaning since my OB suggested I do so considering I'm more susceptible to cavities and gingivitis. (16 weeks pregnant at this time) I show up a few minutes late to my first appointment and was told to reschedule, fair enough. Nice lady behind the desk took my insurance and ID to help get me started when I come in next. Then I was asked to be around 15 minutes early, no problem. I show up again and there was a different lady behind the desk. For some reason she still asked for my insurance and ID, I had let her know that it was already taken care of by someone else who was working. She looked confused and then said she doesn't have any info on me at all. She also seemed confused as to how their computer systems worked. So I check in and then sat down and waited to be called. I waited for 45 minutes before someone called me. The nurse lady I was met with took me to the X-ray machines and asked if I was pregnant or trying, I had said both over the phone and during the check in process that I was pregnant. After I said yes she said, "Oh, we may not do the X-ray then." I was then taken back to another room, which I had waited for a few minutes after she had went to go and check with a doctor if the X-ray was safe. This was mildly irritating considering she should have already known the answer to that and I had to continue to wait. After the X-ray I was taken back to the other room and waited for another 10-15 minutes until someone showed up. They had poked my teeth and gums and made them bleed, not particularly gentle at all. I was told I had gingivitis and that was basically it. Then I asked for a cleaning and was told, "maybe, they might get around to it if they have time." As I'm sitting there with a bloody mouth and sore gums. Another lady comes in at the END of my appointment to tell me my insurance hadn't gone through properly. I needed to have provided the write dental insurance card, which isn't their fault. But of course, they waited until AFTER I had come in to tell me this AND having seen my insurance card and putting in their system twice. I've never had an experience like this in my life. Absolutely baffling. I was there for 2 hours.
