I am sure no one is ever excited about dental procedures but I had little choice, after investigating other options. I was referred to this office, which is an hour from our home. Immediately things were set in motion and I felt everything fell in place with the utmost professionalism. I had to go to the office for an X-ray that was included in my extraction, and the day I was to go the roads were not good. Not wanting to prolong the process, I left very early and made it to their office over an hour ahead of time. They had no problem getting me right in for the X-ray, even though I was prepared to wait if needed.
It is the evening of my extraction and I was sent home with very clear instructions and numbers to call if there were any problems. I have had very little bleeding or swelling and feeling very confident my healing is heading in a very positive direction. I was very nervous about this procedure but I needn’t have been. I’ve been very impressed.

All of the staff was very helpful! Check-in was efficient, Brandy was wonderful, Blake was great with my daughter’s anxiety of needles and Dr. Gibson explained the process of the procedure thoroughly and with sensitivity. Would definitely recommend!

My daughter had all her wisdom teeth removed. From the initial x-ray to the procedure itself everything was explained very well. Staff was very nice, Blake and Dr Gibson were fantastic!

DO NOT RECOMMEND!! If you are special needs or have a special needs child DO NOT GO HERE. I have never seen such blatant discrimination! The dentist did not listen to my son or myself and insisted that he have sedation for "the his safety and the safety of the staff"!?!? Did not see an alert and oriented adult who can make his own decisions, only saw his diagnosis and accommodations. So my son got to pay a "disability tax" of $1800 because of their prejudice. Requested to stay in the room until anesthesia to reduce anxiety and was refused. If my son had not been have so much pain, I would have walked out. I would recommend they read a book or two by Temple Grandin so that they may begin to understand persons on the spectrum.

Staff had great chairside manner and put me at ease. Not an easy task, but they made me comfortable. Special props to the anesthesia guy who went out of his way to engage with me and make good conversation.

About Associated Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons - Dental Implants in Galesburg
Associated Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons has been caring for patients in Central Illinois since 1971, with a Galesburg office located at 929 West Carl Sandburg Drive. The practice provides dental implant care, including All-on-4 and full arch treatment, along with a range of other oral and maxillofacial surgical services such as wisdom teeth removal, tooth extraction, and bone grafting.
For patients considering dental implants, the practice explains that implants can look and feel like natural teeth, help prevent the bone loss that can change facial structures over time, and allow patients to eat and speak without the movement associated with adhesives or clasps. The team walks patients through the treatment process, meets with a treatment coordinator to review costs and insurance options, and follows up after surgery to check on healing and comfort.
