I recently visited Athens Dental Art due to severe tooth pain and was disappointed with the service I received. Despite my urgent condition, the clinic only took pictures and referred me to another location in West Virginia for a root canal, which would require a two-week wait. They mentioned they would call if there were cancellations, but the prospect of waiting in pain was concerning. When I called to request an extraction instead, they informed me that I would need to wait over a month to be seen in another building. This was highly frustrating and unacceptable given the severity of my pain. In contrast, another dental office I contacted provided exemplary service. They conducted the necessary examinations and were surprised that Athens Dental Depot had not prescribed antibiotics, especially given the significant infection present around the affected area. They promptly treated the infection and performed the extraction during my visit. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Athens Dental Arts for urgent dental care. Their lack of timely intervention and appropriate pain management was disappointing, especially in light of the immediate and effective care I received elsewhere.
