DO NOT GO HERE! I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Atlanta Oral and Facial Surgery with Dr. Blair. I am 28 years old, which meant my wisdom teeth were in more challenging positions than is typical for younger patients. One of my upper wisdom teeth was positioned very close to my sinus. Dr. Blair removed this tooth, and several days later I began noticing a putrid odor coming from my nose. I returned to the office and was told it was due to food stuck in a lower extraction site. A nurse flushed it out and sent me home. No one examined the upper extraction site, and Dr. Blair did not come in to speak with me. A few days later, I returned again after realizing I could push air from my mouth through my nose — a clear sign of a possible sinus communication. Green, foul-smelling, rancid-tasting mucus began draining through the hole in my mouth from my sinus. I was terrified and nearly went to the emergency room. Once again, I was told by a nurse that this was “normal” and would heal on its own. Again, no one examined the upper extraction site, and Dr. Blair never came into the room. Still concerned, I saw my ENT, who ordered a CT scan. The scan showed that my entire right sinus was completely filled with infection. My ENT explained that given how close the tooth was to my sinus, a routine bone graft should have been placed at the time of extraction, which Dr. Blair failed to do. As a result, I am now scheduled for endoscopic sinus surgery on May 15, requiring anesthesia for the second time to clear out a severe infection. My ENT also explained that if the hole between my mouth and sinus does not close after this surgery, I may need yet another surgery with an oral surgeon for a bone graft. I am a high school teacher with a job that requires me to be present every day. Because of this failure in care, I am now missing additional work and undergoing another surgery that could likely have been avoided. When I called the Dunwoody office to inform them of the situation, I was told Dr. Blair would call me back. He never did. I am sharing this experience so others can make an informed decision. Between the lack of preventative care, repeated dismissal of serious symptoms, and the absence of communication or follow-up from Dr. Blair, I cannot recommend this practice.

The entire experience from start to finish was amazing. Being someone who has anxiety with dental visits, the staff was patient and very attentive. I highly recommend this location and I will be using them for future services. The receptionist was very caring and reassuring. Karen was amazing as well. Thanks for a pleasant visit.

I was a new patient at Atlanta Oral and Facial Surgery today, recommended by my long time dentist Dr. Thomas Nguyen. They were so friendly from the moment I walked in, and it was such a fun experience the entire visit. I have not had so much fun at any Dr appointment for ages! The staff were amazing and so warm and friendly. Thank you Dr.Nguyen for recommending this terrific group! Sheila VanFossan

Thank you to the entire team for the wonderful care and support during my dental treatment. The doctor made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions patiently. Really happy with the service and professionalism. I would definitely recommend this clinic to family and friends.

I wasn’t happy or satisfied with the overall experience. My 12 yr old had canine exposure under general anesthesia. Doctor never met us on the day of procedure neither before nor after the surgery just to ensure us that everything went well. No one shared what we need to do post surgery, never shared the medicine they are prescribing. They just handed over a bag and expect you to read and understand on your own while your child is going through so much pain. The nurse got him to the car while he was still sedated and expected him to walk instead of bringing him in a wheelchair. My son has so much swelling which again they never told me until I called 4 days later and they said it is normal. So I would not recommend this place in my opinion given how my experience has been so far.
