Pre-op and surgery both went smooth, were on time & answered every question, including the ones I was a little embarrassed to ask. Post-op reaction to pain meds and the on call Dr was quick to call back with advise and assist. While no one wants oral surgery, I’d definitely recommend this team if you ever need it!

The care I received was unmatched! I am not the bravest soldier when it comes to regular checkups, so an extraction had my anxiety level accelerated. I was treated with respect and made very comfortable, explaining each step and phase of the treatment. I am on day three of recovery and have not had any pain or complications. I am a new believer in sedation dentistry! Thank you!

My dentist recommended wisdom teeth removal and referred me to Austin Oral Surgery in Marble Falls, TX. I hadn't had dental work in decades, so of course, I was hesitant. The staff at the Marble Falls office of Austin Oral Surgery were amazing! From the initial appointment setting, check-in to consult, consult with Dr. Matthew Popp and the actual surgery, it was all so smooth and my anxiety about dental work never increased. I opted for local anesthesia for 4 wisdom teeth extractions and, although a bit uncomfortable during one extraction, the procedure was quick and I was able to walk out with no issues. It's day 2 and pain is very tolerable. I would trust them with my entire mouth in the future! I didn't get the names of the young ladies that assisted, bit I appreciate your wonderful professionalism, courtesy and smiles.

Another disappointing healthcare experience. While everyone in the office was kind getting the information we needed was like pulling teeth. We came into town to visit Nunnley, Freeman, and Owens. My partners wisdom tooth was chipped and needed removing. They referred us to Austin Oral Surgery a block down the street. We came into town from Tennessee upon booking the appointment. They refused to give any numbers over the phone saying that could only be done during the in person consultation. I had to be firm to get them to even give me a range of what we were looking at for cost. Upon arrival we waited for 40 minutes to be pulled back for the consultation. There was no real consultation. They got no more information from us than the information we had already given them. Everything was moving fast, and under a time deadline. I had to ask repeatedly for them to give us the prices. They’d say again. Have you made a decision and I’d say, have you shown me the prices. They were frustrated and reluctant, and finally brought the prices. Being put under to have wisdom, teeth pulled is overkill unless you’re very anxious or can’t be numb, otherwise, due to a localized infection. Majority of your recovery time is going to be recovering from whatever they put you under with. Not to mention the extra 350+ per 15 minutes they have you under. When they finally came back with prices It was 450 to remove the wisdom teeth that were protruding and an extra 750 to remove the impacted wisdom tooth. $75 per tooth for an extra long blasting pain killer and The as I already mentioned $350 per 15 minutes of anesthesia. They had about 45 minutes slated. We chose to only have the teeth pulled with out being put under. Localized anesthesia was completely free. It literally took the surgeon 10 minutes to numb up my partner and pull his three teeth before he was walking out of the building. The amount charged, the times spent in their offices, and the amount of stress put on the body with the additional medications that were trying to push and were completely not needed would’ve been exponentially higher had we not held our ground. The surgeon had little bedside manner beyond the rushed checkin. You could tell he’s used to people being Ander and prefers it that way. There was no communication about what tooth was peeing, pulled or what to expect as the surgery was happening. Prescriptions were sent to the pharmacy. Nobody told us what was sent or why or how to use it. We had to call back, and of course, talked to the pharmacist to the pharmacist upon arrival. The system is more interested in taking your money than empowering you over your own health. Educate yourselves. Hold your ground. Don’t let them bully you or rush you through things. Your body is wiser than you are led to believe. Two Advils and 1 Tylenol was more than enough to ease the discomfort in healing. If you want to learn more about your dental health check out Luke Story’s podcast #434 on holistic dentistry. They won’t give out an itemized receipt. They held all costs very close to their chest. Siting, they can’t be transparent, because if somebody comes in needing more than what they thought it will cause problems for them. I wasn’t able to provide a photo of the cost sheet. The receptionist head brought in but I hope this helps someone get the transparency they need to make an educated choice before being forced to shown up and pushed through a funnel.

I went to Austin Oral Surgery due to Aspen Dental doing bad dental work on a crown months before. The tooth then could not be saved, root in crooked so it wasn't an easy extraction until I saw Dr. Cunningham & staff at AOS! I was treated with kindness, concern & they did a great job! I would definitely recommend them to anyone needing dental surgery!
