I am a person who moves from dentist to dentist until I find a good one. I think I’ve found it! I went in for a cleaning and the hygienist was super nice and gentle. She explained everything she was doing, before doing it. She did a little extra cleaning since I’m currently wearing braces (which I really appreciated!) I saw Dr. Simpson and he was excellent. He explained everything to me, in detail. He was nice, gentle, calming, reassuring, and knowledgeable. I have wisdom teeth and every single dentist I’ve been to has pressured me to remove them. Not Dr. Simpson! No pressure from him. I really enjoyed my cleaning and will be back!

I didn’t have a great experience here, but I’ll give three stars because I can see how this could have been a great appointment for someone in a different situation. I made this appointment specifically for a partial denture consultation related to upcoming extractions. I had already had multiple X-rays and periodontal charting recently and was actively under the care of a periodontist and who was handling my extractions and ongoing periodontal treatment, as well as another dentist who doesn't make partials. Despite this, I was scheduled for a full new-patient exam, including X-rays and periodontal charting. I understand they may need their own records, but the findings were presented to me as though they were new information. The biggest issue was the deep cleaning discussion. I was told I needed a deep cleaning, and I explained that I had just had one 3-4 weeks earlier and was already under the care of a periodontist with a four-month periodontal maintenance schedule. He still questioned whether it had actually been done multiple times and pointed out that he saw plaque below the gumline in one specific area on the X-ray. I’m fairly certain that was on a tooth that was already planned for extraction or one we were targeting to clean during my extraction appointment, but he didn’t know my treatment plan with my periodontist and didn’t ask about it. Except that he wanted to called them and I guess tell them they missed a spot? I understand why he wanted to point out what he saw, but I felt like I was being treated as though I hadn’t already addressed the issue and I wasn't there to discuss my periodontal treatment. The biggest issue came when we finally discussed the partial. I found out that they don’t make the type of partial I actually need. I’m going through a process that will eventually involve implants, so I need a basic acrylic partial that can be relined and adjusted as my mouth changes. Their type of partial they offer would require a completely new prosthetic whenever significant changes are needed, which simply doesn’t work for my situation. Thankfully, I found another practice that can make what I need. I just wish this had been explained when I called and asked about the type of partial I needed. I’m already spending thousands on dental treatment, so paying for a full new-patient exam that ultimately wasn’t necessary for the service I came in seeking and not even offering the partial I needed was extremely frustrating and honestly pretty negatively impacted me financially. I can absolutely see this being a thorough and helpful practice for someone who is establishing care as a new patient. Unfortunately, for my very specific situation, it was not a good fit. But any new patient coming in will get a a very thorough exam and likely have a better experience than I did. And I will say the partial they showed me was nice looking if you aren't in a situation like mine.

The entire team is attentive, gentle, and clearly committed to providing the best possible experience. If you’re looking for a dentist who combines expertise with compassion, this is absolutely the place to go. Highly recommend!

Started coming here when we lived a block away and now that we live 20 minutes away, we still come. The staff is incredible! They’re accommodating, generous with their time, highly considerate of the patient’s time, thorough, the list goes on! They even let me bring my infant son and kept him entertained while I got my teeth cleaned. Good luck finding that level of accommodation anywhere else. Dr. Sarabess is always cheerful and complimentary, and she knows her stuff.

My wife and I have been coming to Dr. Baumrind Dentistry for over 12 years.. her a little longer than I. My wife absolutely loved Dr. Baumrind! My first visit was actually with his daughter, Dr. Sarah Best—and I’ve been hooked ever since. What I’ve always appreciated most is her bedside manner and personality. I told her years ago that she is the first dentist I’ve ever been able to fall asleep in the chair while she was working on my teeth. That level of comfort is rare. I also truly value how she narrates the process as she goes. I’ve never had a dentist take that approach before, and it makes a huge difference. That attention to patient comfort and communication is exactly why our family continues to trust this practice as our go-to dentist. You can’t go wrong here.
