Katie the dental hygienist did a very thorough exam and cleaning. She has great people skills. Dr. Justin saw me too and verified things Katie saw. I trust that I get the best care at Baxter Dental.

After moving to Little Falls, MN, I chose Baxter Dental in Baxter, MN because they stated they accepted my Delta Dental insurance, which I have used for years without any issues. I typically have my teeth cleaned four times a year—insurance covers two cleanings, and I pay for the other two. At eighty-one, I still have all my teeth. I scheduled an exam and cleaning for mid-December 2025. Upon arrival, I confirmed with the staff that they accepted Delta Dental, and my hygienist performed a standard cleaning, which matched my previous experiences. However, a few weeks later, Delta Dental informed me that the doctor was not actually in-network, so I was charged an “out of network” fee. Additionally, I was billed for a periodontal “deep cleaning,” which was not performed—only a routine cleaning took place. Over the years, I have had deep cleanings and know the difference, so I recognized this was not the case. There are two main issues with this clinic: First, they were not transparent about the out-of-network status and failed to inform me of the potential consequences. Second, I was charged for a service that was not provided, which is both misleading and costly. While it’s possible the session was coded incorrectly for insurance, the lack of transparency and the questionable billing make it difficult for me to trust their intentions. As a result, I will not return to this clinic, especially given their lack of transparency and the overcharging I experienced.

The staff here is top notch. Today was my first time there and the atmosphere made it feel like I've been there many times. I'm definitely going to be returning!

My 10 year old son had to have his tooth pulled. Dr. Gangestad was so amazing and kind the entire time. He took time to explain everything and make sure my son was comfortable the entire time. The rest of the staff were equally great! Very friendly staff and clean office! I would recommend to everyone, especially those with children!
