Everyone was so nice they did a great job of explaining everything and the facility is nice and clean. They even called later in the afternoon after my wisdom teeth extraction to make sure everything was ok. I would highly recommend this place to anyone. I am not great with dental stuff as it usually freaks me out but dr Scott and his team made me feel secure the whole time!

Excellent service. Very professional staff. Dr Heitzmann explained everything and all went well. I will use sedation next time. So much easier. I recommended the service to everyone today at Horizon South Snowbird club meeting.

This was the first time I have ever needed oral surgery and I am so glad I chose Dr. Heitzman and his staff. He was efficient and skilled and his staff was wonderful and very professional. Follow up was second to none. I highly recommend!

Dr. Heitzman and his staff were incredible!! I was in such a state of panic, fear, and extreme pain upon arriving to my appointment. They were kind, calming, and extremely efficient. Dr Heitzman administered a couple of injections that eased the pain for several hours, which was perfect since his staff rearranged the schedule so I could have my procedure the second day. There are so many practitioners that could take lessons from him and his staff on how to interact with patients who are in pain or simply don’t feel well. Let’s face it as patients we are not necessarily the behaving our best in those moments. Kindness is key! I thank you very much for the excellent communication and care. Deirdre Collier

I had the absolute best experience at Bay Oral and Facial Surgery. This was the second time in my life that I had a tooth abscess. I had extreme pain and swelling. Everyone in the office was great. My surgeon, Scott was very helpful. He was reassuring and helped with the pain immediately. I had a follow up visit to remove my tooth. I had NO pain during the surgical procedure. The entire staff was knowledgeable, kind and concerned for health. I will definitely use this office again if needed. I highly recommend this office.

About Bay Oral & Facial Surgery

Bay Oral & Facial Surgery is an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice at 651 Grand Panama Boulevard, Suite 106, in Panama City Beach, Florida, serving the Panama City Beach community and surrounding areas. The practice was founded in 2006 by Dr. Scott Heitzmann, a lifelong Gulf Coast resident, originally in Lynn Haven. After Hurricane Michael damaged the original office, the practice moved to its current Panama City Beach home. Its stated mission is safe, personalized care grounded in honesty, compassion, and dignity, with a focus on building lasting relationships with patients.

For patients considering tooth replacement, the practice offers dental implant placement, using titanium posts placed in the jawbone to serve as a foundation for crowns, bridges, or full arch replacements. Treatment starts with a consultation where oral health and imaging are reviewed and a customized plan is developed, and procedures are performed under local anesthesia or sedation, including in-office intravenous sedation. Additional services include bone grafting, wisdom tooth extractions, impacted teeth treatment, oral pathology evaluations, frenectomy, apicoectomy, alveoplasty, tori removal, and pre- and post-surgical care. The practice also welcomes referrals from other dentists.
