I've had only good experiences with scheduling, on time appointments, billing, treatment planning and procedures. All of the staff I dealt with were helpful and kind. During the procedure, Dr. Haxhia told me what to expect, updated me on the progress, and was calm, helping me to feel calm. I didn't feel any discomfort. My recovery has also been easier this time. I would recommend this place to others.

I have nothing positive to say!! So, you have an appointment for surgery. When you get there, you show your insurance card to confirm everything is all set and they say your OUT OF NETWORK!! There demeanor is oh well 😠 They proceed to tell you an astronomical amount to pay. Their demeanor reflects that we don't give a crap that we didn't inform you your insurance is not welcome here!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME...look elsewhere.

The day of my surgery went very well and the surgeon was very kind. But around 2 days post off I started having radiating pain, I figured it was normal since I was only 2 days out. But the pain lasted for around 2-3 weeks post opp, which is not normal. I went back to see if there was something wrong and all they said was that my “case was difficult” and told me to take more medicine. I am young, but I am not a fan of taking strong pills for a long period of time, and I had to take 3 Vicodin and 10 Advils a day for 2 weeks. I got sick from the medicine and was up some nights in excruciating pain. Everyone I had talk to about this told me it is not normal to be in such bad pain after 10 days post opp and I should not be needing multiple refills on Vicodin. I even had to go into the ER because their on call person would not help us and was rude. I still have no idea why my recovery was so painful but I wish they would have gave me more detail and information on why I may be experiencing this. I was left to just wonder and i think it may have been some sort of nerve damage, and i wish they would have helped me a little more instead of telling me to take extra pain medicine.

Would not go here. They said it was in network when on vacation and then send me a huge bill. But thanks for helping with the pain and also thanks for the pain in the rear.

Dr. Ellis and his staff went above and beyond today to ensure I received the treatment I had sought out after. After arriving for my scheduled extraction and implant consultation, the assistant took the time needed to verify what I was being seen for and address my concerns both on a clinical and personal level. Once in the room, the assistant took the time to explain the process, make sure I was comfortable and explained who would be entering the room next each time she had left. Dr. Ellis took the time to understand my condition, my treatment wishes and constructed a treatment plan that had never felt so right to agree with. Dr. Ellis even went as far as recommending a dentist in my area that he works with frequently to allow me to build a relationship of trust with a dentist that works closely with what I am in need of. There were some misunderstandings with my scheduling as far as whether or not I would receive local anesthetic or deep sedation but the assistant worked very hard to make it possible for me to still receive deep sedation that day to allow me to feel comfortable with the process. Dr. Ellis’s assistant did this all effortlessly, she never took her focus from me and my comfort but before I knew it, the room around me was prepared for a portion of the procedure that wasn’t scheduled. The treatment coordinator went the extra mile to understand what I was looking for and how to make that happen within my treatment plan. The treatment coordinator was able to walk me through ways to save money on my treatment, schedule properly to meet my goals and explain the dollar amount expected of me at my future visits. I have severe dental anxiety to put things lightly, deep sedation is the only comfort I can find when it comes to extractions. Overall, the staff did not need to be as accommodating as they were for me today but I will forever be grateful for their diligence and understanding that allowed them to accommodate my very exhausting needs. This is not the only tooth in my mouth that I need extracted to have replaced with an implant and my plan was to milk it out until I had reached this same point with the other, but after today I have complete confidence that Dr. Ellis and his team will be able to clear that problem from my life much sooner than I had told myself I would be able to. Thank you so much to Dr. Ellis, the amazing dental assistant that made this a much easier process for me (although I made this ten times harder for her), my treatment coordinator and every other smiling face I had the pleasure of meeting today. You truly changed my perspective today and I am happy to be able to say I trust the Bay Oral staff with my future needs.
