I was scheduled for oral surgery on Dec 18 but my tooth started to bother me. I called yesterday and asked if i can be seen sooner.
They took me in yesterday. I was going to have the oral surgery with general anesthesia
But because i did not fast 8 hrs before, i chose to just go thru the procedure with local anesthesia so i can be seen yesterday. I get anxiety going to the dentist but because the whole staff of this office are very nice from front desk to dental assistance and the surgeon, my anxiety was lessen. Julie , Tracy, and the front desk stuff were very nice. Ayer (i hope i read his name correctly) the dental assistant was very patience, compassionate and understanding. He made me feel relaxed, and Dr James Edwards was very nice too. Everyone knew about my anxiety and they just made me feel relaxed. Dr James Edwards told me that the worst pain i will feel is when i get the shot to numb me. I was expecting to be in there for 45 to one hour, But because how relaxed they made me feel, it took 10 minutes to numb me, and 5 to10 minutes to extract my fractured tooth with root canal. I did not even feel any pain while my tooth was bring extracted. Dr James Edwards, Ayer and all the staff in this Office did a great job. I would come back to this office again next time I need another oral surgery. I definitely recommend this office. Today, Nov 19, I got a phone call from Jannel from the office making sure i am doing Ok after the surgery. Great Service all the way! 100%

I just got all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled yesterday and I couldn’t have asked for an easier procedure/recovery. It’s only been a day and I’m feeling fine. Everybody I talked to was nice and helpful, big thanks to the whole team.

About Benicia Oral Surgery & Implantology
Benicia Oral Surgery & Implantology is an oral surgery practice in Benicia, California, that focuses on dental implant treatment along with other surgical services. The practice offers single-tooth implants, multi-tooth options, hybrid dentures, and full arch restoration with All-on-4, and uses 3D cone beam CT imaging to plan treatment. Many patients arrive after years with bridges, partial dentures, or failing crowns, and the practice presents implants as a fixed alternative that does not rely on neighboring teeth for support.
For patients who have been told they lack enough bone for implants, the practice performs bone grafting, sinus lifts, and socket preservation to rebuild the jaw before implant placement, noting that these steps can add several months to treatment but support a more lasting result. The office also provides tooth extractions, including full mouth extractions under sedation, and discusses implant planning as part of that process. Benicia Oral Surgery & Implantology is part of the Bay Area OSM network and serves patients from Benicia as well as nearby Martinez, Concord, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek, and Hercules.
