I have been coming to this dental office for the past five years and have always had a great experience. However, my most recent visit felt very different. This time, a doctor performed the cleaning instead of the usual hygienist, which initially made me think I was receiving even better care. Halfway through the cleaning, she began recommending additional treatments, including antibacterial irrigation and fluoride treatment. Later, the front office informed me that the total out-of-pocket cost would be $315, while the doctor was waiting outside for my approval to proceed. I felt pressured in that moment and uncomfortable declining the services. This had never happened during any of my previous visits, and it honestly felt more like a sales tactic than a patient-focused recommendation. The issue is not the money — it is the feeling of being caught off guard and pressured into agreeing to additional services. Now I am left wondering whether future visits will involve more upselling and recommendations for unnecessary add-ons. That concern has definitely changed how I feel about returning

Normally my visits are great. This time it seemed very disorganized; I had to correct two people about the nature of my visit, I was almost subjected to an unnecessary x-ray, despite my insistence that I just had full x-rays done last visit and I was not there for a broken tooth. I protested a second time, and was still being fitted for the lead bib, when the dentist came in and I protested a third time, and she agreed that I did not need x-rays for this visit. I had to remind staff twice that I was also there for a cleaning when they said I was done and could leave. I had booked a double appointment for taking care of the cleaning as well as the bonding repair. When I mentioned to Emily at the front desk that I was almost subjected to (and presumably charged for) an unnecessary x-ray, I was told that, "it's a small amount of radiation - it's not a big deal." Small or not, it would have been an unnecessary exposure and would have also been an unnecessary charge (which I doubt would be trivially small). I was disturbed by the cavalier dismissiveness of my health and my wallet. Historically, I was always scheduled for two cleanings per year, and this time a seemingly casual attempt to schedule three per year was made without noting the change. I don't even know if my insurance covers three cleanings per year, nor was I asked - just an attempt to change the schedule I have had with this office for somewhere around two decades. It felt a bit like an upsell. I think things have been changing since Dr. Phillips sold to (or merged with) Beautiful Smiles. The service is worse, and they seem to be more profit-seeking. I hope they realize this may not be as profitable a model as they think and change back; otherwise, I'll have to find a new dentist.

I’ve never been a fan of the dentist’s office, but I’m always well cared for by Dr. Sapna! She is transparent, efficient, and genuinely cares about both your dental health and overall comfort. She is the only dentist I ever plan to see again! I cannot recommend her services enough. And she is a huge basketball fan, which is so important in New York!

I had a great experience here. Alma, my dental hygienist, was incredibly professional and attentive. She carefully cleaned each tooth, polished thoroughly, and double-checked everything at the end. My mouth felt so fresh and clean afterward. She was gentle, patient, and truly exceeded my expectations. Dr. Wang, who treated my cavity, was just as wonderful. She is warm, cheerful, and very skilled. The procedure was quick, efficient, and done smoothly, which completely eased my anxiety. I really appreciate her professionalism and positive energy. Highly recommend!

Really disappointed in my visit today. I’ve been coming here for about 4 years and won’t be coming back. I had a chip on my front tooth and was charged $100+ to be out within 5min after being told nothing can be done, and any other minimal solutions wouldn’t work longterm. I have nothing against paying for someone’s expertise, even if just consulting. The doctor only briefly looked at my tooth from 3ft away and told me outright there’s no point in bonding etc. She didn’t bother to inspect it until I asked if she can check something I was concerned with. I felt like every time I tried to say something, I was cut off. I understand teeth are not indestructible- it was just a very impersonal experience. The other doctors always showed me photos and walked me through their explanations. I didn’t need to hear all the different metaphors of how bonding works and doesn’t work, I just wanted my tooth checked out FIRST- and then given an actual assessment objectively.
