Couldn’t have asked for a better experience, they made a scary surgery so easy and delightful. Shoutout to Dr. Wallis and his wonderful assistants, Karoline, Eleanor, Lucy, & Kami! I’d love to return if only I had more wisdom teeth!

All the staff was very professional and very kind! Answered all the questions I had and didn’t make the question seem dumb. The Dr. gave me all the information in detail and reassured me he was confident in what he was doing, which allowed me to be confident in him! I have pretty bad anxiety when it comes to procedures but they all made it more calming Definitely in pain after surgery but they gave me the best instructions to help with that:) Definitely would recommend this place to anyone who is going to need a mouth surgery, whether that’s for a more difficult one or just wisdom teeth!:)

Big Sky Oral Surgery has an absolutely amazing group of people working there! I have a couple of medical issues that I am very self conscious about, but when I came into this clinic this team had so much compassion and kindness. I have never felt so happy after a procedure. Big Sky Oral & Facial Surgery is an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice located at 1125 West Kagy Boulevard, Suite 201 in Bozeman, Montana. For patients considering dental implants, the practice places small titanium posts into the jawbone to serve as tooth root substitutes, creating a strong foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. Using recent advances in implant techniques, Dr. Wallis is able to place single stage implants that do not require a second procedure to uncover them, and in some situations an implant can be placed at the same time as a tooth extraction, reducing the number of surgeries a patient needs. Implant treatment is handled as a team effort, with the oral surgeon performing the implant surgery, extractions, and any needed bone grafting while a restorative dentist creates the replacement teeth.
Beyond dental implants, the office provides a full range of oral surgical care, including bone grafting procedures such as ridge augmentation, sinus lift, and socket preservation, along with wisdom tooth removal, tooth extractions, facial trauma care, corrective jaw surgery, pre-prosthetic surgery, oral pathology, sleep apnea treatment, exposure of impacted canines, and three-dimensional imaging. The practice is led by Dr. C. Ryan Wallis, DDS, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. Dr. Wallis earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery from The Ohio State University in 2008, served as a Captain in the United States Air Force Dental Corps, and completed a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Cincinnati that included training in adult and pediatric anesthesia, trauma surgery, and reconstructive procedures. He is board-certified by both the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology, and is a Fellow of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. His clinical interests include wisdom tooth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, corrective jaw surgery, facial reconstructive surgery, tooth extraction, and outpatient anesthesia. Dr. Wallis serves as an anesthesia inspector for the Montana Board of Dentistry and is currently president of the Montana Dental Association.
