Dr. Kamal is a very kind and skilled dentist. Even with an office full of patients, he somehow has the ability to make you feel as if you're the only one. He is truly one of a kind! His staff are equally as wonderful. I've been going to him for several years and have had only great experiences.

I just had a quick emergency to be resolved. The clinic found time for me and answered questions in a friendly and efficient manner. Very friendly staff and Dr. Kamal is excellent. I have been looking for a holistic dentist and I will definitely go back. Kind and very thorough. Willing to explain procedures.

Dr. Kamal is an absolute gem for kids and adults. Even when our children need a filling, they are happy to see him and feel safe and nurtured. He's conservative and not an alarmist. I've sent so many friends here who have been scared by other dentists over their kids' teeth (you need sealants, caps, etc.), only to find out they are fine. We are so grateful, and yes, it's worth the investment.

Black Bear Dental is awesome! Everyone there is kind, compassionate and helpful. Dr. Kamal is very conscientious regarding doing things that are going to be the best for you for your long-term health, that’s what I absolutely love about him and his practice.

Black Bear Dental is truly exceptional. They’re incredibly skilled and genuinely care about their patients. They went the extra mile by using advanced imaging that other dentists never suggested, and because of that, they discovered a small infection that had been missed for far too long. That infection ended up costing me two teeth and even spread into my sinus, requiring surgery — but if this team hadn’t found it when they did, things could’ve gotten much worse. I’m genuinely grateful for their thoroughness and expertise. Today I had my crowns placed on the implants, and I couldn’t be happier with how they turned out. Everything looks and feels great. If you’re looking for a dentist who truly cares, uses top-notch technology, and takes their work seriously, look no further than Black Bear Dental. They’ve earned my trust 100%.

Black Bear Dental is a general dental practice in Hendersonville, North Carolina, offering dental implant solutions including All-on-4 and full-arch treatment alongside a wide range of other dental services. The practice describes implants as a permanent option for patients with broken, damaged, or missing teeth, noting that implants are placed in the jawbone and function like natural teeth, allowing normal speaking and eating.
According to the practice, the implant process involves an initial consultation, placement of the implant into the jawbone, a healing period for the implant to fuse with the bone, and a final appointment to attach an abutment and custom crown. Black Bear Dental notes that bone grafting can be done if a patient does not have enough bone present to support an implant, and that implants can last upwards of 25 years or longer with proper care.
Dr. Usama "Uzi" Kamal treats patients at Black Bear Dental. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry and previously practiced general dentistry in Arkansas before joining Black Bear Dental. The website notes he has taken continuing education coursework related to implants, including the McCracken Implant Education course, and holds memberships in several dental associations.
