If you’re going to have a tooth removed, Black Pine Oral Surgery is the place to do it! Dr. Joel Deehr and his team somehow made an experience I was not looking forward to about as pleasant as pulling a tooth can possibly be.
The office staff was amazing—friendly, efficient, and reassuring from start to finish. Dr. Deehr was kind, compassionate, and clearly knows what he’s doing. He made me feel comfortable and well cared for the entire time—even while holding metal tools and yanking on my tooth!
Highly recommend. If I ever need another tooth removed (hopefully not anytime soon!), I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

I really like this office and all the staff and physicians! Everyone is so personable & warm & friendly. They make you feel right at home & comfortable. The docs take time to explain everything & I’ve never felt rushed or that they need to get to the next patient. I highly recommend this office!

I went in for a wisdom teeth extraction. I had to wait 45 minutes to go back and had to remind them I had an appointment. Doctors did not communicate when putting in IVs. I tend to have trouble with IVs being placed (small veins), but they switched locations 6 times before they got it which is more than I've ever had. They also didn't communicate when moving me or the chair around, which was very disorienting. I started having an active panic attack (I could hear my heart rate and it was so high) and they didn't really care. They tried to give me laughing gas but it didn't do anything, pretty sure the nurse didn't know how to administer. Fell asleep sobbing, woke up sobbing and hyperventilating. They took me out the back so that no one waiting in the front could see me crying. I had had a seperate, much more invasive surgery a month prior at another clinic and I did NOT have the same reaction at all. Literally, this was worse than having my abdomen getting cut open. They also told me that I wouldn't remember anything previous to the surgery and I remembered everything. They were very rough in their treatment, probably because they thought I would forget. Nicest person was the anesthesiologist who noticed I was crying and told me it was going to be OK. Also none of them introduced themselves. I felt like I was being experimented on. The actual surgery went fine, teeth are gone now. Highly recommend if you want to feel like an afterthought of a science experiment, otherwise, another clinic would probably be a better fit.

I like dr. Jensen very much. He's personable, comforting, puts you at ease, and very capable. The medical assistants are also competent. My only issue is that the doctors keep changing. I like to get to know and trust my Dr's. I want Dr. Jensen to stay, but I know it isn't going to happen. I can only hope his replacement will be as qualified, experienced, and likable as dr Jensen.

De Deehr and team were amazing!! They quickly got me scheduled for consultation and in for the tooth extraction within a few days. They explained everything and were extremely gentle and kind. I also loved that I only waited about 5 minutes to get in and the doctor was in quickly. The removal today was quick and the staff was kind and comforting (I was a little nervous 😬). I will recommend them for sure
