As I stated in my initial review after my consultation visit, if only all physicians and medical offices were run like this, people would almost look forward to going to the doctor. Dr Overbeck and her staff are unfortunately unique in how caring and supportive and concerned they are of their patients. Kudos and many many thanks to them all, especially Dr. Overbeck.

Dr. Overbeck and her lovely staff are kind, knowledgeable, and efficient professionals. My procedure was surprisingly quick and quite painless, and Dr. Overbeck gently explained each step along the way. Everyone in the office was supportive as well. I was blessed to choose this practice for my extraction. Thanks so much for your excellent care!

Great practice. Staff is very professional. They are also caring and kind. This should be a model of how a practice should be run. Only issue is that they do not accept any insurance but they are very helpful in showing you how to submit a claim.

Total professional demeanor. The care and attention to details and one’s mindset is helped by the caring attitude of all the employees. Dr Cara is by far a most caring individual who spends time with the patient . I’d recommend this office for any dental procedure needed.

The Englewood office is located at 900 East Pine Street and serves patients from Englewood, Venice, Port Charlotte, North Port, Sarasota and Arcadia. The practice focuses primarily on dental implants and wisdom teeth, and its implant services include replacing single missing teeth, solutions for patients missing all upper or lower teeth, implant supported overdentures, bone grafting for implants, and Teeth-in-an-Hour, a same day approach that places fully functioning teeth on dental implants.

Dr. Cara Overbeck, DDS, leads Blue Heron Dental Implants and Oral Surgery and has practiced as a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon since 1988. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from Duke University and her Doctor of Dental Science degree from Emory University School of Dental Science in 1984, then completed a one year general practice residency followed by her oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Albert Einstein School of Medicine/Montefiore Medical Center in New York City in 1988. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, a Fellow of the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and a member of organizations including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, the Academy of Osseointegration and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. She is on staff at Venice Regional Medical Center, is a past president of the Sarasota County Dental Association, and founded and directs the Venice chapter of the Seattle Study Club.
