I cannot recommend Dr. Cheng highly enough. I had a complex double jaw surgery with him to address a mandibular asymmetry, and prior to that, I had my wisdom teeth removal with him. He is highly professional and truly a master of his craft; he has an incredible eye for aesthetics and during surgical planning recommended an additional genioplasty that completely balanced my final results.
My recovery was incredibly smooth—much easier than I had anticipated—with absolutely no hiccups or mishaps. His surgical team is superb, and the office staff are exceptionally nice and supportive throughout the whole process. I am incredibly happy with the outcome and grateful for the care I received.

I had double jaw surgery last summer because my jaw was all crooked and it was giving me lots of problems. The surgery went smoothly and recovery wasn’t nearly as bad as I expected. And the result was really nice, all my other dentists and orthodontist seemed really impressed at how the result of the surgery came out. It’s been a year and I feel way better physically and mentally, because it really effected my mental health negatively the way my jaw was before the surgery. So if you also have issues with your jaw, check out dr Cheng because he really helped me out a lot.

I had a lower jaw BSSO and genioplasty done by Dr Cheng as well as wisdom teeth removal previously. Surgery went perfectly, I recovered quickly, and now get to enjoy my perfect bite alignment! I felt very confident in his expertise and he was able to clarify my questions throughout the whole process. The other staff at the clinic are also super kind and knowledgeable.

I had double jaw surgery and genioplasty, as well as wisdom teeth removal with Dr. Cheng a year ago, and everything went exactly as planned. The first days in the hospital post jaw surgery were the hardest due to old blood clots in my throat and nose, but recovery was quick after that. There was little to no pain afterwards and I have no lingering numbness in my face.
The staff (nurses and front desk) were all very kind, funny, and patient during my appointments. Dr. Cheng is extremely knowledgeable, humble, and skilled as a surgeon. My bite is now aligned perfectly, my face looks much better, and I’m very happy with the results :)

In summer of 2024 i had to have jaw surgery. I had a really bad over bite and dr cheng was amazing and his staff is wonderful they helped me step by step. i definitely recommend him if you need to have jaw surgery.

Oral and Facial Surgery Center of San Jose is an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice located at 2039 Forest Avenue, Suite 306, in the Rose Garden neighborhood of San Jose, California. The practice describes a newly renovated 3,400 square foot facility (as of April 2020) designed with patient safety and comfort in mind. Its surgeons practice the full scope of oral and maxillofacial surgery, including wisdom tooth removal, a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures, tooth extractions, oral pathology, and corrective jaw surgery. Intravenous sedation is offered to help patients stay comfortable during procedures.
For patients considering dental implants, the practice provides single tooth and multiple tooth implant placement as well as full mouth replacement with implants, including implant supported overdentures and Teeth-in-an-Hour. When the jaw bone is deficient, the surgeons perform bone grafting procedures such as sinus lifts, ridge augmentation, and socket preservation to prepare the site for implants. Meet the Doctors
The practice is led by two oral and maxillofacial surgeons, Dr. Brian Cheng, DDS, MD, and Dr. Wen Fan, DMD, MD. Dr. Cheng earned his dental degree from New York University College of Dentistry and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency and medical degree at UCLA, followed by an implant surgery fellowship at the UCLA Straumann implant center in 2004. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, has served San Jose since 2004, and has a special interest in corrective jaw surgery and implant reconstructive surgery. He is fluent in Spanish and Mandarin. Dr. Fan earned his dental degree from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency and medical degree at UCLA. He is a board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with special interest in dental implant surgery, corrective jaw surgery, and pathology, holds a hospital affiliation with O'Connor Hospital in San Jose, and is fluent in Mandarin Chinese.
