Dr. Woods extracted a broken tooth for me yesterday. It was a virtually painless procedure. Imagine my surprise when he called me today (Saturday) to make sure I had no problems. He was very kind and his office staff seemed knowledgeable.
Two concerns, however. First, the phone number posted by Google for the other oral surgeon in Warrenton actually connected me to Bridgeport, not Columbia Oral Surgery. I was confused when I arrived for my appointment as both offices are in the same building. Second, as mentioned in other comments, I was given one price before the procedure but a higher price when I checked out afterwards. I asked why, was told it was because of having xrays.

After receiving a treatment plan for thousands of dollars and agreeing to the amount, and paying it in full, they called and asked for $250 more their services. I figured that after paying their treatment total in full, they could afford to absorb the $250 after spending thousands already. It felt like they were blackmailing me for the additional funds, saying they wouldn't finish the procedure without this additional payment. I suggest another facility for your future dental needs.

Every time I walk in I get a friendly smile, they are all very nice. I'm in the process of getting my front tooth fixed by Dr. Wood and he has done an amazing job I couldn't be more happy with the implant. Thank you so much you guys!!!!

About Bridgeport Oral and Implant Surgery Center
Bridgeport Oral and Implant Surgery Center is an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice with offices in Warrenton and Tigard, Oregon. The Warrenton office at 1085 East Harbor Drive serves patients along the Astoria and Warrenton coast and throughout Clatsop County. The practice performs a full range of dental implant and bone grafting procedures, including replacing a single missing tooth, replacing all upper or lower teeth, bar attachment dentures, and Teeth-in-an-Hour. Supporting procedures such as sinus lifts, ridge augmentation, and socket preservation are offered to help rebuild jawbone so that implants have adequate support.
Beyond implants, the practice handles wisdom tooth removal, tooth extractions, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma, oral pathology, and jaw joint disorders. Intravenous sedation and general anesthesia are available, and the staff is trained to assist with sedation in the office. The Warrenton office keeps limited hours, currently listed as Thursdays from 9:00am to 3:30pm on an every other week schedule, so patients should call ahead to confirm availability. Every patient is seen by the surgeon, and cases are managed together with the patient's referring dentist.
Meet the Doctors
The practice is led by Robert J. Wood, DDS, MD, a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and an Oregon native. He earned both his Doctor of Dental Surgery and Doctor of Medicine degrees from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, where he graduated first in his class and completed his oral and maxillofacial surgery residency along with a one-year general surgery internship at Charity Hospital. Dr. Wood purchased the Tigard and Warrenton locations in 2014. He has a special interest in dental implants, including bone grafting, advanced imaging scan based treatment planning, and soft tissue work around implants.
