Highly recommend Burlington Oral Surgery! I had my left wisdom teeth removed 16 and 17, and the experience was much better than I expected. I was genuinely surprised when the doctor told me he was finished—I hadn't even realized he had already removed both teeth! The procedure was quick, smooth, and virtually painless. The doctor and staff were professional, caring, and very kind throughout the entire process. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Review for Burlington Oral Surgery Clinic / Dr. Schmidt I want to acknowledge that I was seen in a timely manner, and I appreciate the effort made to get me into the clinic quickly. Unfortunately, beyond scheduling, my experience was deeply troubling. I am a medically complex patient with clearly documented pain issues and medication intolerances. These concerns were communicated verbally and in writing prior to my procedure. Despite this, my pain concerns were repeatedly dismissed, and I was instructed to take a medication that I explicitly stated makes me severely ill. Being told to “just take it anyway” is not acceptable care, especially for a patient who has lived with complex medical conditions for decades and knows how their body responds. There was no meaningful attempt to adjust the pain management plan or listen to what was being communicated. This felt less like a medical decision and more like being brushed aside. When pain is not treated appropriately in a complex patient, it can escalate rapidly and cause real harm. That risk was ignored. What made this worse was the lack of follow-up. I sent emails early in the morning and again in the afternoon expressing concern and asking for help. No one responded. Being left without guidance or support after oral surgery—especially when concerns were raised clearly and repeatedly—is not acceptable. This experience felt dismissive and gaslighting. I did not feel heard, respected, or cared for as a patient. Timely scheduling does not make up for a lack of clinical attention, communication, and basic patient-centered care. I hope this practice reflects seriously on how medically complex patients are treated, particularly when pain and medication intolerance are involved. No patient should have to fight this hard to be listened to.

Everyone was so professional and made me feel completely comfortable! I appreciate the extra details like a written out instruction sheet after my procedure. Everything was smooth and quick!

This was my first time visiting an oral surgeon, so I was a little nervous about the whole experience going in, but the staff there was so friendly it calmed my nerves down a little. I had two extractions done with no pain or discomfort. They explained things thoroughly and in easy to understand language. I will be considering an implant in the next few months and Burlington Oral Surgery will be my choice if I go forward. Considering where I live, I could easily go to Peoria or Galesburg, but Burlington has made it an easy decision for me. Dr.Schmidt did a wonderful job from beginning to end.

The receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The nurse was really nice and knowledgeable. The doctor was very cold and seemingly uncaring. His work was fine, but his disposition was not very nice. He came and done his job and left.i don't even remember what he looked like.
