I am super grateful to Dr. Cardenas and his professional team for a great experience with my dental surgery. I get very nervous in dental offices, but Dr. Cardenas took the time to thoroughly explain the procedure and answer all of my questions and concerns during the pre-consultation visit which really helped to put me at ease. The front office staff was also patient and helpful while providing information regarding cost and payment options. It's clear that patient comfort is a top priority for this team. I wish I'd gotten the name of the sweet girl who helped me prep for my surgery today. I could tell how much she enjoys her job, and she was SO helpful and kind when I shared that I was nervous. I hope she knows how much I appreciated her! I also really appreciate that Dr. Cardenas personally called to check on me the evening after my surgery. That level of care and dedication speaks volumes about him and his office.

Highly recommed this awesome team! Our first visit was very informative. On the day of the extractions they took their time and made sure my son was relaxed before they started. To our surprise, Dr. Cardenas himself called to follow up on my son. This is a doctor that loves what he does and cares about his patients. If you don't like waiting in doctors lobbies for hours with out end then this is definitely the place for you. Fast and well organized team.

I had a previous tooth extraction experience that left me terrified of ever needing another tooth pulled, but Dr. Cardenas and his team were fantastic. They were very informative and had excellent bedside manner. I would definitely return if necessary and highly recommend Dr. Cardenas. A huge thank you for making me feel safe each step of the way and for making me feel heard. If I could give more than five stars, I would.

I am blown away at how much I was taken care of. I was in extreme pain with my wisdom tooth coming out. The staff brought me in as a new patient walk in and gathered my insurance information quickly. Everything was explained to me on how the extraction would be and I was on my way home in less than 2 hours. I am beyond grateful!

I had all four of my wisdom teeth extracted at once and it’s been 11 days so far. Everything went smoothly from the consultation to the extractions themselves. The doctor and his staff are very polite and friendly. He cares about his patient’s wellbeing and it shows from how he bothered to call afterwards to check on how I was feeling after the surgery and to answer any questions/concerns.

Meet the Doctors
The practice is led by Dr. Omel Cardenas, DDS, an oral and maxillofacial surgeon. A native Texan born and raised in Garland, Dr. Cardenas earned an undergraduate degree in biology from Texas A&M University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Baylor College of Dentistry, then completed a general dentistry program at Peninsula Hospital in Queens, New York. He went on to complete oral and maxillofacial surgery training at Martin Luther King/Charles Drew Medical Center in affiliation with Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Kaiser Permanente Medical Center. His particular area of interest is dental implantology, including hard and soft tissue reconstructive surgery to support implant placement. Dr. Cardenas speaks both English and Spanish, has taken part in dental mission trips to Mexico, Honduras and Peru, and is a member of organizations including the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the Texas Dental Association, the Hispanic Dental Association and the Rio Grande Valley Dental Society.
