It was a fantastic visit. I have been to dentists all over the world. Dr. Jansen and his staff were ab absolute pleasure to deal with. He was very knowledgeable and gave me fantastic insight and helped me come up with a plan. He is also not pushy… he just presented me with different options and pros and cons. At no point did I feel that he tried to talk me into anything. I highly recommend this office !

Doctor Jansen and his entire staff offer exceptionally good service. I was well informed through every step of my dental care, including oral surgery and recovery. Any concerns I had were addressed to my satisfaction. My new teeth look great, and I can smile with confidence. Thank you so much!

I used to dread dental visits, but my recent experience was a pleasant surprise. Dr. Curtis Jensen and Frank Mercurio were exceptional. Their friendly demeanor and efficient approach made the process comfortable and stress-free. The entire office staff was professional and welcoming. I was particularly impressed with the attention to detail and care taken to ensure my satisfaction. The result? A brighter, healthier smile.

After trauma to my front tooth, I was absolutely terrified to get an implant. I was scared of the pain and the chances of it not matching the tooth next to it. Dr JANSEN reassured me the entire time that I would be very happy with the outcome. He completely exceeded my expectations. Not only was he super comforting and communicated throughout the entire process, but him and his team did an incredible job. My tooth matches the tooth next to it, and I could not be happier. I felt I was in such good hands there that I switched to him as my main dentist for the future. Whoever goes to Dr JANSEN’s office is in the best of hands.

Dr. Jansen is an incredibly talented Prosthodontist and an all around amazing person. After a fainting accident last year, where I suffered major trauma to my teeth and mouth, he was able to make me look better than I did before the accident. He was always very kind and respectful, and he checked on me constantly. Every time I saw him he would call me that night to see if I was in pain and how I was doing! He also checked on me weekly for months as the process was a long one! Talk about going above and beyond. He made an incredibly tough time in my life much easier by the way he treated me. Everyone comments how natural and beautiful my four front teeth look now that he finished working on them. I absolutely love the way they look. Frank, is another one of my favorite people. He is a perfectionist, just like Dr. Jansen, and the color and shape of my new teeth is perfect! On the day they cemented in my final crowns, Frank was there to make sure I loved them. He took me outside to take pictures in all different lighting. I was even lucky enough to get a picture with him. He is the best and a true artist. Maggie was with me through most of my appointments and she is funny and always made me feel comfortable even though I was nervous most days I was in the office. She took such good care of me and was always doing everything she could to make me comfortable and relaxed. She also knew I loved the chapstick they had and would always send me home with a few extras. Vicki and Veronica are incredibly professional and patient. They also called to check on me throughout my treatment and always greeted me with a warm welcome. When they had appointments that cancelled they would call me to see if I was interested in coming in earlier than my scheduled appointment. I was lucky enough to get a cleaning by Julia after my crowns were cemented in and she is also wonderful. We instantly hit it off and I’m sure she is like that with everyone. She is so kind and didn’t make me feel bad for not flossing while I was on vacation. She was gentle and my teeth felt amazing when she was done. This is truly a one of a kind place. If I didn’t work in real estate, I would want to work here with Dr. Jansen and his team. Not once was I treated with anything but kindness. I was always warmly welcomed with smiles and hugs. I can’t recommend Dr. Jansen and his incredible team enough.

CEJ Dentistry is the Monterey, California prosthodontic practice of Curtis E. Jansen, DDS, located at 34 Dormody Court. Prosthodontists are dentists who complete an additional two to three years of specialized training in restoring and replacing teeth, and the practice describes itself as dedicated to functional, comfortable and beautiful smiles. Dental implants are a central part of the practice. The office provides single tooth implants and implant restorations as well as All-on-Four full arch treatment that replaces an entire upper or lower set of teeth on the same day, along with bone grafting for implants, implant supported overdentures, implant retained dentures and Teeth-in-an-Hour. Both the surgical and restorative phases of implant care are performed under one roof, and the office includes an in-house surgical operatory and three-dimensional imaging.
Beyond implants, the practice offers crowns, bridges, complete and partial dentures, full mouth reconstruction, tooth colored fillings, extractions, pre-prosthetic surgery, bruxism treatment, porcelain veneers, dental bonding and teeth whitening, plus hygiene and periodontal maintenance with its own hygiene team. Curtis E. Jansen, DDS is a prosthodontist and the practice's sole dentist. He graduated from the University of the Pacific in 1982 and the University of Southern California School of Dentistry in 1986, then completed the Advanced Education in Prosthodontics program at USC, receiving his certificate in prosthodontics in 1988. He taught at USC in the Department of Restorative Dentistry, where he was named Director of Implant Dentistry, and later worked with a dental implant manufacturer in Florida, helping develop and patent implant components while practicing alongside a surgical group in West Palm Beach. Dr. Jansen opened his private prosthodontic practice in Monterey in 1996 and added an on-premises dental laboratory shortly afterward. He continues to lecture to dental specialty groups, associations and study clubs while seeing patients four and a half days a week. He is a member of the American College of Prosthodontists, the Academy of Osseointegration, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association and the Monterey Bay Dental Society, and is a fellow of the American College of Dentists.
