As a dental hygienist, I’m very selective when it comes to advanced dental care, so I was definitely a bit nervous going into my wisdom teeth removal. A family friend recommended Dr. Sheppard, and I’m so glad they did.
Dr. Sheppard was absolutely amazing from start to finish. He was very informative, incredibly knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything thoroughly, which immediately put me at ease. He also has such a welcoming and calming spirit that made me feel comfortable and relaxed throughout the entire experience.
I also want to highlight his surgical assistants, Kari and Jade, who were just as incredible. They truly took their time to make sure I felt comfortable—allowing me to choose my music preference, patiently answering all of my questions, and going above and beyond with post-procedure care. They made sure my face was wiped clean, my lips were moisturized, helped me safely to the car, and ensured I fully understood my post-op instructions. I really appreciated being sent home with a bag of goodies and written post-op instructions as well.
I truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. 10/10 recommend Dr. Sheppard and his entire team to anyone looking for expert care and a practice that genuinely prioritizes patient comfort.

Dr. Michael Sheppard is excellent. He's very personable and professional. His staff are great people to have in a practice like his. Thanks to Laura for your assistance. I appreciate the front desk staff and the nice lady who explained the treatment plan to me. KUDOS TO ALL OF YOU!

Four years after my wisdom teeth removal, I finally know that my severe TMJ dates back to this surgery. I liked the doctor during the consultation as he was recommended by my incredible dentist. But on the day of the procedure, he did not talk to me at all beforehand, nor did he talk to my husband after. My husband didn’t even know he was supposed to give me medicine and clean out the sutures with the saline. They didn’t even tell him that, just wheeled me out to his car while I was still high!!! Right before I went under, the doctor said “wait is it 3 or 4 (teeth) out?” and I totally panicked before they put the anesthesia mask on my face that knocked me out. I was really freaked out. I don’t think it was a poorly timed joke either, he was legitimately asking his assistant what procedure I was due for. Now I am facing high medical bills for compensatory masseter botox bc my jaw hurts so badly when I eat, and also my jaw literally will go slack to the point where I am too tired to talk.
I genuinely think he is good human being but I think this practice prioritizes volume of patients and maybe should be more willing to turn away patients like myself if it is an inconvenience. I’m still in so much pain and finally connecting the dots. I feel very betrayed, honestly. Regardless of who you go with, do your research.

Dr. Sheppard and his team are absolutely amazing! I’ve always been terrified of the dentist and any kind of dental work, but when it came time to have my wisdom teeth removed, I was referred to Dr. Sheppard’s office—and I’m so glad I was. From start to finish, he and his staff were incredibly kind, patient, and compassionate. The procedure was quick, completely painless, and my recovery has been a breeze. I can’t recommend Dr. Sheppard and his team highly enough!

I was met with smiles and felt quite welcome at Dr. Sheppard’s office. This was my first visit and it was a bit of an anxious experience at an Oral Surgeon just by nature of my issue.
Everyone, from the lovely professionals I met at first, to the Dr.himself, were knowledgeable, professional and sweet.!
