I have had dental issues since I was a kid, haven’t had many good experiences with dentists or dental work of any kind, but there is not a single negative thing that I could say about Dr Scott and his entire staff. I’ve had 4 surgeries there within the past year, from my wisdom teeth to my extractions and implant surgeries, it has been a wonderful experience. I have never felt more welcomed, cared for, and comfortable than I do when I walk into this office. I’m almost sad that all of my dental work is coming to an end, which is something I never thought I would say in a million years. Thank you Dr. Scott, I genuinely appreciate you and everyone in your office, I don’t think I could’ve asked for a better experience!!

The staff is amazing. Nice, proficient, and friendly. Dr. Mark is knowledgeable, compassionate and extremely attentive. He made what could have been a very stressful event into something simple to understand. I would highly recommend them all for any dental needs.

Dr. Scott and entire CFOM team to include front & scheduling office staff were absolutely amazing. Dr. Scott & nursing staff were exceptionally patient and caring. I'm a hard stick bc of multiple past medical hx/CA. Dr. Scott stepped in to aid the nurse as they were determined to stick me only 1x. Totally appreciated their efforts. After my oral procedure, Dr. Scott held my arm & walked me to the car. 10 STARS & HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I cannot recommend this place more! I was so nervous to get my 4 wisdom teeth removed, but it was time . Doctor Scott and his team were incredible! I would get work done there again in a heartbeat. I got my surgery done today at 11:15, and I’ve felt ZERO PAIN since being home! I’ve been able to eat soup, drink water comfortably, and have light conversation with my family and friends. So far I have no swelling either. I’m so happy I found the courage to get this done and so happy that Doctor Scott and his team were so awesome and speedy. The nurses were also so kind with me as I have a lot of trauma around surgical procedures. They held my hand and were so gentle and compassionate.

About Center for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery

Center for Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery is an oral surgery practice serving the Central Savannah River Area, with offices in North Augusta and Aiken, South Carolina, and in Evans and Grovetown, Georgia. The North Augusta office is located at 101 Nutgrove Drive. The practice's oral and maxillofacial surgeons complete additional years of hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training after dental school and manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions, with expertise ranging from dental implant surgery and wisdom tooth removal to corrective jaw surgery. The practice also lists bone grafting, facial trauma care, tooth extractions, and 3D imaging among its procedures.

For patients considering dental implants, the practice describes implants as titanium roots that bond with the jawbone to create a strong foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The surgeons are able to place single stage implants, and in some situations an implant can be placed at the same time as a tooth extraction. Options for patients missing all upper or lower teeth include implant supported overdentures, and bone grafting procedures such as sinus lifts, ridge augmentation, and socket preservation can help repair implant sites with inadequate bone. Implant placement is a team effort between the oral surgeon and the patient's restorative dentist. Surgical staff are trained to assist with intravenous sedation and outpatient general anesthesia, and all locations are open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
