When I learned I needed to have a tooth pulled, I was given two options: Tri County Oral Surgeons and Centre Oral & Facial Surgery.
I called Tri County and asked the receptionist if I could be seen as soon as possible. In a very unempathetic tone she replied “we get hundreds of referrals every day” and offered a schedule date of two and one half months away. I called Central Oral & Facial Surgery and was greeted by a very warm and understanding person who scheduled me a month and a few weeks away. She was warm, personable and understanding. My entire experience with Dr. Kewitt and his very caring staff was exceptional. During my consultation, everything was explained in great detail. My procedure went very well and again detailed instructions were provided both orally and in writing for after care. Dr. Kewitt even called me later that evening to see how I was doing. Every single person I met was exceptional and I can’t say enough good things about this practice.
On another note, it was explained to me that Tri Counry accepts insurance and Dr. Kewitt does not. Dr. Kewitt will submit insurance claims to eligible insurance carriers, however. Unless you have dental insurance and you’re under 65, it should be noted that Medicare does not pay for dental procedures for either of these two providers. All this is explained in their well written informative guidebook. Best choice for me to have Dr Kewitt as a provider.

Dr Kewitt is an outstanding physician. I had a great experience with he and his staff. I had a difficult surgery but he handled better than I could image. He is very gentle and is always asking if you're okay. The results have been excellent!

Exceptional service with a smile. This was my first time here and I have nothing bad to say. The employees and Dr. Greg are awsome. They even took the time to call me at 8pm that evening to see how I was doing. Great experience.

The receptionist was really disrespectful to me both times we visited. My boyfriend was the patient. He was very confident in the doctor and had no complaints but my experience was anything but confidence boosting. When I asked the receptionist about joining my boyfriend in recovery she looked like I spit in her face and gave me attitude before turning back to my boyfriend with a smile. I’m glad my boyfriend had a good experience but I question the choice the receptionist. I understand that I’m not the patient but I felt so disrespected.

Dr. Greg and his staff were the friendliest office I have ever been to. The whole staff made me and my husband comfortable and spoke with us like we have known each other for years. I would recommend them to anyone in need of their services. They get an A+++ in my book!

About Centre Oral & Facial Surgery
Centre Oral & Facial Surgery is an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice located at 474 Windmere Drive, Suite 202 in State College, Pennsylvania. The practice describes itself as a team of highly qualified and caring individuals dedicated to providing patients with a high degree of professional care, and it is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care, a distinction the practice says gives patients and the community an extra measure of confidence in its surgical care. The office also offers a 24/7 emergency answering service.
Services listed on the practice's website include dental implants, bone grafting, wisdom teeth removal, tooth extractions, anesthesia, oral pathology, and treatment of facial trauma. For patients missing teeth, the practice explains that dental implants are titanium posts surgically placed in the jawbone that fuse with the bone, offering a long-term alternative to removable dentures or fixed bridges that does not slip and helps avoid bone loss. The practice states that its goal is to provide a high quality health care experience with a focus on quality, patient safety, and customer service, and that it recognizes surgery of any kind can be frightening and treats patients with compassion and respect. Consultations can be scheduled by calling (814) 235-7700.
