I recently had my daughter’s four wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Strauss, and I am incredibly impressed and grateful for the quality of his surgical work. The procedure went perfectly, and my daughter is now on day three of her recovery with zero pain. We were able to manage her comfort easily by rotating ibuprofen and Tylenol, the first few days and she is already down to just ibuprofen as needed.
However, I do wish his bedside manner were as professional as his surgical skill. While the clinical outcome was excellent, the patient experience could definitely be improved. If you are looking for a surgeon who is technically proficient and delivers great results, Dr. Strauss is a solid choice, but just be prepared for a less-than-warm interaction.

I don't know about quality of service but what I found out they are eager to your money. They force you to pay for unnecessary services (not covered with insurance benefits) if you want to get what you come there for. Like for me I came to install an implant and they forced me to take CBCT first for straightforward one tooth replacement and then wanted me to pay for bone grafting despite there was no need for that (they confirmed that). I found another clinic where Doctor did extraction cheaper and will do implant without those unnecessary expensive procedures not covered by dental plan.
More over I was not able to use CBCT I paid 250$ for at another clinic because they didn't send a picture over and they didn't provide exe-file to be able to read it everywhere on USB-drive I got from them. Don't recommend.

Dr. Strauss and his team are absolutely amazing! He has performed 2 previous surgeries and June 17, 2026 he did surgery for four extractions. I have referred him to many others and will continue to do so. Great job Charleston Oral and Facial Surgery!

Hayley Vatcher is a amazing.. she helped me with my TMJ issues.. she is professional, kind, nice. and incredibly smart... she is the person to see if you have any TMJ issues or neck pain i am thankful for her
