I chose Christie Dentistry when I first moved to town. It’s now been several years and I can’t imagine going elsewhere. Dr. Mark offers everything possible to keep me comfortable, including his patience and knowledge. He’s great at communicating the technical stuff; what’s actually happening with my teeth. It allows me to feel a little bit more empowered around my dental health in general. The Hygienists are also thorough and have positive attitudes. The admin staff there is also great; Jasmine is an ace.

I highly recommend Dr Mark Christie and his team! Dr Mark is attentive, careful and will take the time to answer questions and explain his recommendations. I also appreciate that he takes a “wait and watch” approach when possible rather than rushing to interventions that may be unnecessary. Dr Mark is also really great with kids and my kids’ cleaning appointments with Laura have always been a breeze! If you’re looking for a skilled, kind and trustworthy dentist, look no further!

I love Chrisie Family Dentistry. Dr. Mark has the best practice ever. I look forward to appointments because the office is friendly, and the faces stay the same. Dr. Mark and his staff have modern equipment and practices. My teeth are better than ever since I started going there, several years ago. My husband also goes there. I love the staff. Thanks Shannon, Jasmine, Stephanie and the rest!

After many decades of dental care, Christie Family Dentistry is my overwhelming favorite dental office. The team is always pleasant and relaxed...and my last visit was no exception. Over the years, I have recommended CFD to many of my friends and family who are equally happy with their experience. Highly recommended.

About Christie Family Dentistry
Christie Family Dentistry is a general and cosmetic dental practice located at 550 Water Street, Suite E-1 in Santa Cruz, California. Mark Christie, DDS, practices a full scope of general and cosmetic dentistry, with services ranging from porcelain veneers to dental implants, crowns and bridges. The practice also offers fillings, dental sealants, tooth extractions, root canals, teeth whitening, bonding, inlays and onlays, Invisalign clear aligners, teeth cleanings, periodontal maintenance and child dentistry. Nitrous oxide is available for patient comfort. Along with Santa Cruz, the office serves patients from Soquel, Capitola, Aptos, Watsonville, Boulder Creek and Half Moon Bay.
For patients missing teeth, the practice provides dental implants as well as a range of denture options, including implant retained dentures, immediate dentures and partial dentures, plus denture relines, repairs and maintenance. Implant candidates begin with a dental and radiographic examination and health history review. During these consultation visits, individual needs are addressed either by Dr. Christie or by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon referred by the practice. The office describes a typical implant process of two surgical stages, with the full treatment usually taking three to nine months depending on the patient. Meet the Doctors
Christie Family Dentistry is led by Dr. Mark R. Christie, DDS. A Santa Cruz native, Dr. Christie earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2013 from the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology and a Master of Science in Industrial and Technical Studies from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and completed post-baccalaureate studies in biochemistry and microbiology at the University of Nevada, Reno. In 2015 he completed the American Academy of Implant Dentistry Implant Maxi Course at Loma Linda University School of Dentistry and is a fellowship candidate with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. His memberships include the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Monterey Bay Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry and American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He has also taken part in humanitarian dental outreach in the Philippines, Cambodia, Fiji and the Dominican Republic.
