My 17 year old son had his wisdom teeth removed a few days ago and we had a great experience. The front office staff were mostly friendly, the girl who helped us get set up for the quick consultation right before the surgery (Amber, I believe?) was very nice and helpful and Dr. Smith even came in and introduced himself before they got started. The surgery was very quick, they sent us home with everything we needed and my son has had a great recovery so far! My only negative comment would be concerning the front parking lot. It was raining heavily that morning and the parking lot was completely flooded. My son had to sit through his surgery with soaking wet socks since he had to walk through the water getting out of the car. We were not aware there was a parking lot in the back we could use.

The staff and nurses were very friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Smith put my son at ease with the procedure. The next day, the office called to check on him. The practice is great and we would use Dr. Smith again!

My younger daughter just had her wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Holmes at Gardendale office. My older daughter had hers removed 2 years ago by Dr. Holmes at the Trussville office. Both surgeries went great and we had a wonderful experience both times. Dr. Holmes and staff were great and informative. Thanks for an easy experience.

So happy with the services I received today for my son. The staff were friendly and very helpful. They tended to our needs and answered questions. I was nervous about my son getting his extractions but they did an amazing job and recovery went well thanks to Dr. Smith and his team.

Clark Holmes Smith Oral Facial Surgery is an oral and maxillofacial surgery practice with an office at 2206 Cahaba Valley Drive in the Inverness area of Birmingham, Alabama. The practice is led by three board certified oral and maxillofacial surgeons who provide a full range of dental implant procedures, including zygomatic implants for patients who have lost significant jawbone. Because dental implants often require preparation, the office also offers tooth extractions and bone grafting services such as sinus lifts, ridge augmentation, and socket preservation, along with digital imaging technology for treatment planning. The surgeons work as a team with each patient's restorative dentist, placing the implants surgically while the restorative dentist creates the final replacement teeth.
Beyond implants, the practice handles wisdom tooth removal, corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma care, oral pathology, and treatment for sleep apnea. Patient comfort is a focus, with intravenous sedation available in the office and general anesthesia provided by a board certified anesthesiologist within the facility, and patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery. Meet the Doctors

Holmes, who holds Doctor of Dental Medicine and Doctor of Medicine degrees and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, and Dr. C. Blake Smith, who also holds Doctor of Dental Medicine and Doctor of Medicine degrees.
