I am a 74-yr woman living on a fixed income who was referred to Dr. Linda Lam from Empire Dental Plan being told she is a participating provider and would give me a free consult. At the consult (which required $455 be paid for xrays) I was told by this very young doctor that I needed over tens of thousands of dollars of repairs for multiple dental issues she identified. I questioned if these repairs were even necessary since I have faithfully been examined by dentist in the past 38 years, twice a year when having my teeth cleaned. In the end, I was astounded that I had to pay a total of $2,479 to Dr. Lam just to have one tooth extracted without a post-op visit being done. I was in great discomfort, only tolerating a soft diet and having pain with hot and cold foods. Since the sutures were not removed, I had to wait 1 ½ months for them to dissolve. When I called Dr Lam’s office for an appointment for the implant, I was instructed by Alyssa that she would NOT make an appointment until I had all of the expensive work completed on the remainder of my mouth. She refused to allow me to speak to Dr. Lam or even pass on the message to her. Alyssa said that she was “not refusing care, but that I was not compliant with their plan”. Completing forms and sending multiple emails to have my X-rays forwarded to a new periodontic, to date I am unsure it was even done. If you are elderly, living on a meager income and don’t want to spend tens of thousands of dollars on dental work (which may not even be necessary), I strongly suggest you use another periodontic dentist if you are looking for a tooth implant.

Everyone at this practice is very polite, kind, and easy to work with. Dr. Lam and her team are all amazing, and respectful! They provide their patients with the best care possible, plus their place is always very neat! I highly recommend!

I highly recommend this practice if you’re looking for a periodontist. Dr. Lam is very skilled, kind, and caring, and her team does everything they can to make you feel comfortable and well taken care of. The office is spotless, and the level of cleanliness is outstanding. This is a practice you can truly trust.

Highly disappointed in her office policy. My dentist, whom I have see regularly twice a year, referred me to Dr. Linda Lam for a front gum issue I was born with, in which she performed surgery and resolved the issue. I'm grateful for that. However, while I went in for just that issue, it quickly escalated into apparently I have early gingivitis (which again, for my entire life my dentist never told me I had that issue as I have good teeth/gums and only one cavity at nearly 60 years old). She wanted to "recall" me every three months - two times a year to my dentist and two times a year to see her. In short, I could not afford that. I decided that it was more feasible for me to see her once a year and continue as I had done all my life, to see my dentist twice a year. I saw her last in November 2024. I called in May of 2026 to make an appointment as 2025 flew by with a big move and more (though I continued to see my regular dentist). They told me I needed a new referral because it had been "so long" since I saw them last. I don't consider one year and six months long, but okay. However, I was then told that if I don't commit to seeing her twice a year in between my regular dentist visits, then they could not take me as a patient. What the heck? In this current economy, I cannot afford that but am trying my best to maintain my mouth health. This practice of demanding to patience is ridiculous and a bit fishy... and for that, I would never recommend her office.

Dr. Lam and her staff (from the front desk to the hygienist) are all very organized, professional, and make you feel at ease. I had deep cleaning as well as a surgical procedure and they did everything to make it a pleasant experience. They all were very good at explaining and educating me about my periodontial needs. I would def recommend them for any periodontal issues.
