The practice provides implant options for patients missing one tooth, several teeth, or all of their teeth, including full arch and All-on-4 style solutions designed to replace an entire row of teeth on a stable, permanent foundation. Patients considering implants can also be evaluated for related needs such as bone grafting and denture stabilization, since implants can be used to snap a loose denture securely into place.

The office uses digital impressions instead of traditional molds and offers sedation and comfort focused techniques throughout treatment. Beyond implants, the practice provides a full menu of general and cosmetic care, including cleanings, exams, Invisalign clear aligners, veneers, teeth whitening, root canal treatment, and gum treatment, so patients can often have implant planning and restorative work handled in one convenient location. Meet the Doctors

Coastal Dental Arts is home to a team of four dedicated dentists: Dr. David Chotiner, Dr. Frank Mac, Dr. Bowen Zhou, and Dr. Ariana Wetzstein. Dr. Chotiner founded the downtown San Diego practice after earning his dental degree from Boston University. Dr. Mac is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon with extensive experience in dental implants and dentoalveolar surgery, while Dr. Zhou is a Boston University graduate and a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Together with Dr. Wetzstein, the team provides compassionate, personalized general, cosmetic, restorative, implant, and surgical dental care in a comfortable, modern setting.
