About Coastal Periodontists PC
Coastal Periodontics, PC is a periodontal practice located at 2925 Player Street in Brunswick, Georgia. The office practices a full scope of periodontics, with services ranging from dental implants to cosmetic periodontal surgery and gum grafting, along with treatment for periodontal (gum) disease. Additional services listed on the practice's website include crown lengthening, bone grafting (including ridge augmentation, sinus augmentation, and socket preservation), guided bone and tissue regeneration, scaling and root planing, periodontal maintenance, and oral cancer exams. The practice serves Brunswick and surrounding communities such as Saint Simons Island, Waycross, Jesup, Kingsland, Baxley, and Blackshear.
For patients considering dental implants, the practice describes implants as small titanium posts placed in the jawbone that act as tooth root substitutes and provide a foundation for replacement teeth that look, feel, and function like natural teeth. The implant process begins with a dental and radiographic examination and health history, during which the doctor addresses each patient's specific needs and the team discusses fees and insurance. For most patients, implant treatment involves two surgical phases, with the practice placing and later uncovering the implants and the patient's general dentist designing the final crowns, bridgework, or denture. The practice works closely with referring dentists and offers a bilingual English and Spanish patient education presentation on dental implants.
