Visited Dr. Comiskey for a tooth extraction. The kinda tooth that has one of those 40+ year metal filings, decay and an abnormal root structure. The doctor and staff were amazing during my visit. Everything was explained in detail prior to the procedure. Afterward I had a couple questions and they were great in answering these quickly. I also received a telephone call to see how my healing was. Overall an excellent visit and would recommend Dr. Comiskey to others.

I recently had my wisdom tooth removed by Dr. Comiskey, and the experience was far better than I expected. From start to finish, the entire team was professional, kind, and reassuring.
Dr. Comiskey took time to explain the procedure in simple terms, made sure I was completely comfortable, and worked with incredible precision. The extraction itself was quick and surprisingly painless. I felt confident and well cared for the entire time.
The clinic is spotless and efficient, and every staff member I met was friendly and attentive.
If you ever need a wisdom tooth extraction or any kind of dental surgery, I highly recommend Dr. Comiskey, truly skilled, caring, and professional.

Had all four of my wisdom teeth out earlier today with laughing gas, and the staff were all so kind and helpful. I felt like I was in good hands the whole time, and they did their best to check on me regularly, let me know what they were doing, and how things were going as the procedure went on. I was in and out in an hour and was pleasantly surprised how quick and easy it was :)

Dr Comiskey was wonderful at explaining the details both before and after my mom’s dental surgery. He was able to be reached over the weekend when we had a question.
His staff was so kind and helpful as well. Great job!!

Mr. Matthew Comikey, DSS and his team took care of me. I went to have the remaining removal of one of my tooth. I haven't experienced any complications. Customer service and cleanliness was great! I highly recommend Comiskey Oral Surgery.

Meet the Doctors
Comiskey Oral Surgery is led by Dr. Matthew T. Comiskey, DDS, a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon. He completed his undergraduate and dental degrees at West Virginia University, then served three years as a Navy dental officer, including service aboard the USS Oak Hill during Operation Enduring Freedom. He returned to West Virginia University to complete a five year oral and maxillofacial surgery residency at Ruby Memorial Hospital. His training covers extractions and wisdom teeth removal, bone grafting and dental implant placement, oral pathology, facial trauma, and outpatient intravenous sedation and general anesthesia. Dr. Comiskey holds hospital privileges at Presbyterian Hospital and Carolinas Medical Center Northeast, and is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina Dental Association, the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
