We love CB Dental! The staff is excellent at their work and always friendly. My kids are huge fans of Dr. Chelsea and Lindsay... they take amazing care of them every visit. The office is a great design, comfortable and super clean. We highly recommend this place!

Great introduction. Great staff. Great facility. Great vibe. I feel very very good about this practice as a new patient. Very modern tech for a small town. Super informative dialogue about what’s going on with my teeth. Such a good feeling to have a dentist and staff one likes.

Really like CB South Dental. They a so friendly, attentive, and Dr. Dave takes his time to explain things to you and answer all your questions. I’ve never felt rushed here. Also they have great dental plans for people like me without insurance making dental work affordable and convenient.

I wanted to take a moment to share some feedback regarding my experiences with Crested Butte Dental, especially as someone who has been coming since the days when the practice was located on Elk Avenue in Crested Butte. While I truly appreciated the personal touch and care in those earlier years, I’ve noticed that as the practice has grown, the sense of genuine concern for patients seems to have diminished.
One recurring issue has been with the billing process. I’ve been charged in advance of insurance payments, and in cases where insurance has paid more than expected, the excess funds are kept for up to six months without any notification. What’s even more frustrating is that the refund is only processed after my next visit, apparently to ensure the practice isn’t at any disadvantage. This policy doesn’t take into account that I might have actually needed that extra $450.00 during those months.
Scheduling has also become increasingly difficult. Even when I schedule my next cleaning six months ahead of time, my appointment has been moved to the next day just a week before, without anyone checking if I can actually make the new date. And if the rescheduled time doesn’t work, I’m told the next available slot is another six months out!
Another concern is the threatening tone of the text messages sent out, stating that patients will not be treated if they cannot pay their balance in full on the day of the appointment. This approach feels harsh and doesn’t align with the compassionate care that patients have come to expect.
I wanted to bring these concerns to your attention in hopes that improvements can be made. Patients value trust and reliability, and I believe addressing these issues would go a long way in restoring the excellent reputation the practice once had.

Every time I come in, I’m greeted by such a friendly and welcoming team. The techs and dentist are incredibly kind, and it truly feels like they care about you as a person.
They always remember me and make the whole experience feel comfortable and personal, which is rare these days. I never feel rushed, and they take the time to explain everything and make sure I’m at ease.
Highly recommend to anyone in the Crested Butte area looking for a dentist who is both professional and genuinely caring!

About Crested Butte Dental
Crested Butte Dental is a family dental practice located at 80 Glacier Street in Crested Butte South, Colorado, serving patients of all ages from the Crested Butte and Gunnison Valley community. The practice describes its mission as raising the standard of oral care in the community and providing an exceptional dental experience through quality materials, technology, and ongoing continuing education. Services cover general and pediatric dentistry, orthodontics including clear aligners, braces, and early intervention, cosmetic dentistry and teeth whitening, and breathing and sleep related care such as myofunctional therapy and tongue tie treatment.
For patients missing teeth, the practice offers dental implants, tooth extractions, and full arch restoration known as All-on-4 or All-on-X. According to the practice's website, implant placement is planned digitally using three dimensional cone beam imaging, and a surgical guide is often fabricated so the implant is placed precisely where intended, which the practice says helps shorten surgery time and reduce discomfort afterward. The office also uses platelet rich plasma drawn from the patient's own blood to support healing after extractions and bone grafting. Full arch cases are designed digitally with the same imaging and an in-office scanner, and the finished set of replacement teeth can be either fixed in place or removable. The practice invites patients who think they may benefit from an implant to schedule a visit to review the process in detail.
