I absolutely LOVED it! I was able to get in so fast, had everything I was concerned about taken care of and even more. Everyone was so friendly and I would highly recommend Dakota Dental Associates PC to everyone looking for dental services, which we will. We sell Medicare services, and we plan to recommend Dakota Dental to people, since they are taking on new clients.

My dental hygienist is the BEST!!! She is super friendly and easy to talk to. Laid back and so personable. Feel like I have known her forever, I am never anxious about my cleanings. She does a wonderful job!!!

Had such a great experience today! My hygienist Sherry and Dr.Cummings were incredibly gentle, thorough, and made me feel comfortable the entire appointment. I usually get nervous at the dentist, but they were so kind and reassuring along with Dr.Cummings answering all my questions. My teeth feel amazing, and I really appreciated how caring and patient they were. Highly recommend!

My 6 year old son had a very painful tooth. Dakota Dental Associates were able to fit us in right away that same morning. Everyone in the building was very friendly and professional. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We had very little wait times and everyone communicated with us very thoroughly and succinctly. The doctor we saw was thorough in her examination and listened to our concerns. A+

Dr Bothun and all of the staff at Dakota Dental are top notch! I have been going to Dr Bothun for several years and he is very knowledgeable, careful, and kind. He has done excellent work whether it has been veneers, crowns, bridges, fillings etc. it has all been done professionally and compassionately. The hygienists and assistants are also so wonderful at their jobs and make a person feel at ease. From the receptionist to the appointment/billing staff everything is explained and carried out in an exceptional manner! I highly recommend Dakota Dental.

Dakota Dental Associates is a family dental practice at 4000 17th Avenue South in Grand Forks, North Dakota, serving patients across the Red River Valley for more than 40 years. The office provides a broad range of care under one roof, from regular check-ups and cleanings, fillings, root canals and dentures to surgically guided dental implants and one-appointment CEREC crowns. The practice describes its implant options as including single tooth and multiple tooth replacement, and it also offers orthodontics, Invisalign, gum disease and periodontal care, cosmetic dentistry such as veneers and teeth whitening, jaw joint (TMJ) treatment and snoring therapy.
The facility includes a seven-chair hygiene department, its own fully equipped dental lab, 3-D digital scanning and a dedicated sterilization center, and the practice says it was designed with infection control and patient privacy in mind. Full-time treatment and hygiene coordinators are on staff to walk patients through each step of care, and the office offers after-hours and weekend emergency services. Office hours run Monday through Wednesday from 7:10 AM to 5:00 PM, Thursday from 7:10 AM to 12 PM and 1 PM to 5 PM, and Friday from 8 AM to noon.
The clinical team at Dakota Dental Associates includes five dentists. Dr. Paul Bothun, D.D.S., earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Minnesota and has practiced for more than 30 years, with memberships including the American Dental Association and the American Orthodontic Society. Dr. Heidi Stevens, D.D.S., earned her dental degree from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2002 and has cared for patients at Dakota Dental Associates for more than 23 years; she is a past president of the Northeast District Dental Society. Dr. Rachel Cummings, D.D.S., is a Grand Forks native who graduated from Creighton University School of Dentistry in 2016. Dr. Chris Bothun, D.D.S., graduated from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2017 and completed training in straight wire orthodontics in 2023 to 2024. Dr. Kayla Nelson, D.D.S., is the newest member of the team, graduating from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 2024, and has a special interest in pediatric patients.
