I truly hope my first experience with Dr. Holland continues to be as good over the years. I went here when I needed urgent dental care after faulty dental work at San Juan Smiles. Dr. Holland and the staff were so welcoming and professional. The best part is that Dr. Holland replaced a filling on my tooth after my last dentist refused to do anything but give me a crown. More dentists need to be responsive to their patients instead of recommending unnecessary dental work for the high dollar payout.

The value of a good dentist goes unnoticed until a tooth brings you to your knees.
I am one of those people terrified of dentist. I have had some bad experiences with other dentist. But Dr Holland has restored my faith.
From the first phone call to Erin where I requested an emergency appointment and they got me in right away to Jaunell making me feel so comfortable. I can honestly say this was a pleasant experience.
Dr Holland is an expert skilled dentist with the bedside manner of a saint.
Within 10 minutes of arriving at the office, Dr Holland got me out of pain. With his skilled hands, he easily and comfortably handled my emergency issue and sent me home with a smile.
I love this dentist office. The entire staff are angels. I am going to stop brushing my teeth just so I have a legit reason to visit them more often.

The ultimate in quality, professionalism and care and concern/empathy.
I was visiting Durango/Bayfield this past April of 2024. While on my visit, I began experiencing severe pain in an area of my molar. The very next day it got so bad, my face eyes and cheeks had swelled and I could no longer manage it.
I phoned my Lakewood, CO Dentist, whom has taken care of our family for over 30 plus years. She said "don't drive home, I know a colleague of mine from Dental School who now practices in Durango and Bayfield, CO."
I immediately called this office at 801 Florida and was quickly taken care of. The receptionist ( all of them ) were compassionate and got me in the very next day.
Dr. Courtney Heinicke and his Assistant Kiffanie were outstanding. They listened and had great touch in caring for my emergency. After a quick X-Ray it was clearly visible that the tooth had two cracks in it and could not be saved.
I was emotionally tearful because I didn't want to loose it. They carefully explained the process to me and answered all my questions. Dr. Heinicke numbed me up quickly and proficiently. I became much more comforted by their care. The tooth came out quickly and my body was finally eased.
They assured me that they were also available 24/7 if I had any post issues..... A on call Doctor was just a phone call away. I did not need any post care, I followed up with my Dentist when I came home from my visit.
Thank you to this fantastic staff, they" kinda saved my life that day."

I recently had a cleaning with Toni M. and she did an incredible job of cleaning my teeth and educating me on my dental issues. Dr. Wenburg completed a thorough exam and, in my follow up for a filling, did a great job addressing my dental anxiety. I barely felt the injection and he did a nice job of explaining the procedure as he performed it. Cathy, the assistant, also did a fantastic job ensuring my comfort during the process. Come to Dental Associates if you want complete and compassionate care!

High praise for the wonderful staff at Dental Associates of the Southwest! Very professional, caring, competent and all-around awesome! I have received excellent care from all three of the dentists! Other staff from front desk, assistants and hygienists are all top-notch! Gratitude!
