I am very happy with my experience. The team answered all of my questions and were thorough in the explanation. They followed up prior to my apt with clear expectations and direction. They were all very considerate the day of my procedure and ensured I was taken care of. The procedure went smooth and I left knowing what to expect. I got a very nice call from the surgeon later that day to check on me. Overall I am very happy with my experience and recommend this team for any dental extractions.

My experience was very positive. I found everyone to be very kind and helpful. The front desk person goes above and beyond to make you feel welcomed. She’s a keeper. The doctor called me later in the day to check on me. Could not ask for more from your facility.

I had an outstanding experience at the Dental Specialty Center of Chesapeake. From the moment I walked in, the staff and dental hygienist were incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating. They took the time to give me clear, step-by-step instructions on what to expect throughout the visit, as well as what I needed to do afterward. My insurance and financial responsibilities were explained thoroughly and transparently, which I truly appreciated. Dr. Young, the endodontic specialist, is a seasoned professional. I came in with excruciating pain, and she quickly diagnosed that I needed a root canal on a tooth that had a crown. I’ll admit—I’m not the easiest patient, especially when I’m in that much pain. But Dr. Young handled everything with exceptional patience, skill, and a gentle touch. Once I agreed to the procedure, she performed the root canal efficiently and without the roughness I’ve experienced from other dentists in the past. Her calm, confident approach immediately put me at ease. I still have part two of the procedure scheduled for next week, but part one has already left me extremely impressed. I highly recommend this dental office to anyone seeking expert care and an exceptional patient experience.

Everyone was so kind here and made sure all my worries were eased, as I was very nervous about getting a root canal. The front desk staff is so nice and greets you with warmth. Dr. Yeung took the time to explain everything I asked, and was very professional and most importantly quick! I was so worried it would be a long appointment, but it was maybe 45 minutes. She was great at letting me know where we were at for each step of the process. Her assistant was very kind too. I was very pleased with my first root canal experience. You can tell the staff enjoys working with each other which always brings comfort when getting a procedure done :) I will 100% return if I ever need anything else done with my teeth!

I had a root canal done today with Dr. Yeung and her assistant, Jelia (I hope I spelled that right!), and I can honestly say it was the best dental procedure I’ve ever experienced. I previously had a root canal done in the Navy, and it was such a terrible experience that it made me dread going to the dentist for years. But today changed everything. Dr. Yeung and Jelia made me feel comfortable from the moment I sat in the chair. They were patient, gentle, and incredibly thorough in explaining what they were doing. I never felt anxious or rushed, and for the first time ever, I was actually relaxed during a dental procedure, which is a huge deal for me. At one point I even told them that they should be the ones doing ALL of the Navy’s root canals, because the difference in care was unbelievable. The entire process was smooth, painless, and handled with so much compassion and professionalism. I left feeling relieved, grateful, and genuinely confident about continuing my dental care with them. If you’ve ever had dental anxiety or a bad past experience, this is the team you want caring for you. Highly recommend Dr. Yeung and Jelia. They truly restored my trust in going to the dentist.
