We have been going here for years! The best dentist I’ve ever been to! Dr. I is very thorough, and actually takes the time to talk with you about your needs. We travel from Roseville to go here. Nav is the best hygienist, and so friendly and great with my 5yo daughter. The whole team is always friendly and welcoming. I have referred friends here, and would highly recommend them if you are looking for a new dentist.

I was very upset that I had a canine tooth next to an existing bridge and implant that was dying. I was referred to an endodontist and his scheduler and billing person was rude and condescending. After recovering from a fracture and having other issues, I decided I don't need that kind of attitude. Further, I was recommended extensive dental work that might not work out so I decided to get another opinion, and so glad I did. Starting with a phone call talking with Erin (super nice and efficient), I got an appointment with Dr. Ionescu. Fantastic doctor who spent a lot of time with me taking x-rays, etc. he proposed a different route after much research. He also found the tooth was infected which I was unaware of. He referred me to Dr. Lan (a great specialist) and he put in medicine to deal with the infection. I go back later for follow-up. I am glad that I found professionals who are there for my best interest and that I can trust. Prices are very reasonable. Ok, I finished up with my dental work except for a few other issues I will address later. What would have been (recommended by another dentist) was pulling the infected tooth and removing the existing implant, remove the bridge and start with a bone graft. It would have been very difficult. Dr. Ionescu recommended a different process to preserve my tooth and existing implant and bridge. This is what I wanted. I am so glad that he recommended preservation over removing bridges and implants. I feel great. I also had a number of cavities that had developed which had not previously been detected. I also am so impressed with Leticia who is so nice and so efficient. She and the doctor work in perfect harmony. All the staff are super nice and that means a lot of patients. I am so happy I switched dentists.

Another great visit with Dr. Ionescu. He is always proactive about addressing issues that arise in order to minimize any long-term impacts. He takes his time explaining recommendations and includes me in the decision making process.

I recently started going to DBD and I truly can’t say enough great things about Dr. Ionescu and his team. I hadn’t been to the dentist in quite some time because of anxiety from past experiences, but from the moment I walked in, they made me feel completely at ease. The entire team is so welcoming, patient, and genuinely caring. As a young adult trying to navigate dental insurance and understand how everything works, it can feel overwhelming — but their staff takes the time to explain everything clearly and answer all my questions. Dr. Ionescu always makes sure I’m comfortable during procedures and checks in throughout the process, which makes such a difference. If you’re someone who gets nervous about the dentist or just wants a practice that truly cares about their patients, I can’t recommend them enough. They are GREAT at what they do!

Dentistry by Design has served as our family's trusted dental provider for over a decade. Dr. Ionescu and Nav have consistently demonstrated meticulous care, ensuring our dental needs are thoroughly addressed and met. Erin and Alisa in the front desk are very accommodating and helpful.
