Dr.Howell is the best. she really listens to what I need. The staff is amazing. They are thoughtful kind and helpful. I'm a very difficult patient because I'm allergic to a lot of things and I'm very sensitive. And I have a lot of fear about going to dentists. Dr. Howell is very sweet and considerate, She listens to what I need and she and the entire staff make sure I feel safe comfortable and cared For during my dental treatments. When anybody asks about dental care I always recommend Dr. Howell. Thank you for taking such good care of me- Cindy LeBow

Dentistry Downtown is amazing from start to finish. Julie at the front made check-in a breeze, Nicole gave me the most gentle and thorough cleaning I’ve ever had, and Dr. Rebecca Howell is simply outstanding—kind, knowledgeable, and truly cares.
The whole team is warm, welcoming, and makes you feel like family the moment you walk in. My teeth have never felt better! If you’re looking for a place that goes above and beyond, Dentistry Downtown is the one! 🦷✨ Highly recommend!

Today was my first visit. Jill made me feel very comfortable from the start. Nicole was very friendly and explained everything that I asked of her. I am happy I choose Dr Howell as my new dentist.

About Dentistry Downtown
Dentistry Downtown is a general, cosmetic and implant dentistry practice located at 606 Davis Circle Southwest in downtown Huntsville, Alabama. The office cares for patients of all ages, from children to adults and seniors, and its services include preventative dentistry, general dentistry, restorative dentistry, dental crowns, cosmetic treatments such as teeth whitening and veneers, and dental implants to permanently replace missing teeth. The practice describes its approach as centered on education and communication, taking time to explain treatment options and to show patients how to care for their teeth at home.
For patients who feel anxious about dental visits, the practice offers nitrous oxide along with comfort touches such as blankets, neck pillows, massaging chairs, headphones and a sound machine. Dentistry Downtown accepts and files all insurance plans and is an in-network provider with Delta Dental. Meet the Doctors
Dentistry Downtown is led by two dentists, Dr. Rebecca Howell and Dr. Lucy Thom Howell. Dr. Rebecca Howell, DMD, is a Huntsville native who graduated from Grissom High School, earned a Bachelor of Chemistry from the University of Alabama in Huntsville in 1992 and received her dental degree from the University of Alabama School of Dentistry in 1996. She has practiced at the practice's downtown Huntsville location ever since, and she supports the next generation of dental professionals by hosting student interns from local high schools and colleges and offering a scholarship. Dr. Lucy Thom Howell, DMD, grew up in Brownsboro, graduated from Huntsville High School and earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Alabama before receiving her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Dentistry. She is passionate about helping patients maintain healthy smiles through preventative care and education, and she is proud to serve the North Alabama community she has always called home.
